Peak Week_Saturday AM: Full body +15 minute Cardio; PM: Off
I was a little distracted this morning. One of my gym-buddies had a photo shoot and was telling me all about it. And we were exchanging notes. Yes, I now have a gym buddy. He is very interesting–a natural hairstylist, mortician, and wants to be a fitness model.
I noticed some new changes in the last 24 hours. I can no longer wear my wedding ring on my ring finger. I am wearing it on my middle finger. I didn’t weigh myself this morning. I’ll be taking more photos this week. I’d like to see how the calorie cut is working, to document the next 7 days on Expel, and to just see how my body responds to the deplete.
I did GREAT at the dinner–I stuck to my diet, ate my patties, savored my potato fries and enjoyed the sun outside. I literally nibbled on the patties. Not only are they really, really good, but I just wanted it to last. Sigh. I just had close to my last meal and I am already hungry. I am going to have to keep myself busy. I have been practicing my posing ALOT and I have been having the hardest time getting my abs, at least what I have, to be more visible. I had an epiphany in the shower. Maybe it has something to do the the way that I flex my hip flexors. They are all connected. I have been thinking of flexing my abs and flexing my quats versus creating a line between the abs flexors and the quads. I am going to try a few things like pulling my foot into the other and seeing what happens.
I almost forgot to mention that the gym got new elliptical trainers that are killer! There are 3 ’strides’: something similar to a stairmaster, a jog, and a sprint. In order to ’sprint’ you have to put equal pressure on both handles to keep going. The old machines let you just use your feet–even if you take your hands off of the handles. On this new machine you can’t cheat, which is why I could only do 15 minutes! I will ‘conquer’ that machine just the stepmill–practice, endurance, sweat, repeat.
Tonight, I rest and recover. I had a little under 100 grams of carbs and I am going to see how I look tomorrow. I still have about a 1/2 a gallon of water to drink and 2 egg whites to eat. I am ’saving’ the eggs for right before bed. Mentally, it helps to think that I am not going to sleep on ‘an empty stomach’ even though it just a part of my measly calories for the week.
Good night.

Wow, how do you do it? You look great! This is my first contest and I am dying trying to make it through the last 4 weeks. My contest in August 2. My diet is spinach, green beans alternating with fish or chicken. 1 gal of H2O and the occasional cheat taste….not meal. My cardio is 50m sprints x 30 (takes almost 1 hour) and 1 hour stationary bike or stairmaster. If it wasn’t for this site, I would lose it. Especially being over here in Okinawa during the festive season…..every weekend there is a celebration of some kind with food. You know, you inspire me. Thank you

OMG! My new gym has that exact maching. I know what you’re talking about…it’s killer but I love it. I do the elliptical so much that I needed a challenge anyway.
Next time go for 20m
