Day Off

Last night I realized that I had made it through the week, kept my workout schedule (had to go most evenings) so, I took today off. Weekend workouts are pretty easy as I get that extra few hours of sleep. Tomorrow will be leg/glute day, Saturday–possibly chest, and Sunday–easy cardio b/c I meet with Billy on Monday. So, I am ‘cheating’, right now on Ritz crackers and goat cheese! Delicious. The diet has been clean and I feel good. I knew something was happening with me a few days ago. I am down to 147.2. It’s odd how you can begin to feel things happening–you know when you feel heavier, holding water, or even feeling leaner.

I just put in a nice sized bb.com order, so Tuesday will be like Christmas–Whey (chocolate and vanilla), Muscle Milk (chocolate and vanilla), and Clif Builder Protein bars (I cut these in half, bag ‘em and keep them in my purse). I can’t believe how my priorities, and thus the allocation of funds, has changed. This used to be shoes or ‘mad money’. Now, I buy protein powder–pretty funny. I usually buy a few things throughout the month. But this month I decided to ‘keep it real’ and get everything that I needed at one time. I bet that SP that I bought is going to last for a while b/c I am too chicken to take a full scoop.

I am loving my new vascularity. When I was lifting yesterday, it was very apparent. Or when I carry things for a while the veins pop out. It’s great!

Don’t you love how our reward for accomplishment is setback. (day off, cheat meal, be lazy, ice cream and apple pie, pizza, etc.) Then we have nothing but regrets and have to double the efforts and set a higher goal to make ourselves feel better. I believe this is one of the definitions of insane.

Yeah that vascularity is awesome. I love finding news areas where I have a ripped look. I just found the side of my forearm has great definition.
