Deadlifts. They just feel good. In that kick my own ass sort of way. Every few weeks when the mood hits, I like to dedicate an entire workout to them alone. It’s a sick and twisted love affair. I can definitely go heavier. I need to start watching power lifter videos to become inspired. 18 sets tonight after I ditched the stairmill early. Intended 40 minutes, did 30 because of a severe cramp in my left ab. Ok it was gas. Ha! First warm up set of deadlifts just 85 lbs for 14 reps. Added 10 lbs about each set, ending at 220 lbs for 4 reps. As I said, Damn, that felt good! 3 hours later and I still haven’t had any protein. My body is full. I trust it knows what it’s doing.

I’ve taken things just a little too far this time. Weighed in at 167 today. With the new haircut in addition to the weight gain I look somewhere between Sammy Hagar and Sponge Bob Squarepants. I do get what I deserve. 5 peanut butter choc chip granola bars for breakfast with a big glass of OJ and bag of sunflower seeds for good measure. There is a part of me that feels extremely good about not giving a **** for a change. There is a sense of freedom. I still have my workouts….which are extremely well fueled. Still working out in a sport bra and mini shorts. Yes my don’t give a f-ck is of mammoth proportions.

Well I killed it at the gym today. Over 2 hours and 15 minutes of weights, 15 minutes of cardio. It was the ol legs and ass day and I served it well. I weigh 163 but I am soooooooo not sweating it. Let’s see, there were over 15 sets ab work, 4 leg ext, 5 leg curl, 6 leg press, 5 squat, 4 straight leg deadlift, 8 cable kickback, 3 walking lunge, 3 hyper extension, 6 sets of 50 jump rope, and a couple sprints around the gym. Came home and ate donkey dick flavored protein from truepro-ein.com. Don’t ask me how I know this.

I obviously have mistaken myself for an ecto and put myself on some crazy “rapid weight” gaining diet. PWO today was 4 scoops choc protein, mixed wth 3 egg whites, some water, cinnamon, about a cup of peanut butter, 1/2 box reece’s pieces for C sake. Cooked it up into 2 extremely large waffles and poured cinnamon with a sprinkle of cocoa powder on top. Added honey for my syrup. 3 plums for breakfast. 2 hour workout, legs and -ss. Final set 170 lb deadlift, 8 rep. No double cardio until tomorrow. MAYBE Freaker’s Ball this weekend. 24 days until Dan Ray….unless I manage to scare him away.

Today was family day part two. This after leg day part two. There will always be two leg days. Went to Ihop. Did you know they have a new menu full of healthy items all 600 calories or less? Check out the back menu. I had Harvest Grain Blueberry Pancakes topped with sliced banana and a side of egg beaters. It was YUM. Then went to the gas station and got some jalapeno pistachios. lol So I had a 15 minute warmup on the ellip, then an hour and a half of leg work. The girls and I went on a 2 mile nature hike (GORGEOUS)….that was my cardio. Tonight for supper I had 2 peanut butter and flax seed sandwiches on whole grain nut bread. I know this is not so typical. Typical is overrated. If you go to Fleming Park, watch out for bull elk in rut. They’re alot like your average male.

I wish I were watching The Olympia. I don’t have cable. Took some pictures tonight which were quite frightening considering I will be in NYC in 11 days. I ate Steve’s nuts! Kassandra set them aside specifically letting me know “these are Steve’s nuts and not to be eaten”……which means of course I couldn’t keep my hands off of them. Finished off the cashews by 9:30 AM this morning, made it about half way through the peanuts by 5:30 PM. Next time just say, “Help yourself to some nuts Maddi!” And I will say, “No, my, my,……I am dieting down for a photo shoot. I wouldn’t dare.” Also ate a banana, a plum, 3 strawberry yogurts, a coconut chocolate herbalife shake (delish!), 1/2 a bag of salad with a chicken breast, 1/2 tomato and some celery, 1 Taco John’s taco and some refried beans. lololol Did have a nice workout with delicious eye candy for dessert. Introducing, my tattoo. Well, one of them. The other is banned in 15 states.

Ok, very nice. So because I decided to say just screw this weekend, I had a kick ass workout with lots of rope jumping and delt work, then got a bag of peanut butter and chocolate trail mix. Tomorrow I start fresh with the choke the f-cking chicken, and i intend to stick with it. I am a firm believer that intention is everything, and that in the end all works out as it should. I did get a nice compliment from someone today that made my day. He hadn’t seen me for a month and said he could really tell a difference. When you, and others, see each other daily, it is very hard to tell whether you are coming or you’re going sometimes. I have a preliminary photo shoot planned! I have never shot with/for anyone but myself…so I asked my friend Teri who is seeing a professional photographer if he would be interested in shooting me. This is a kid we actually went to high school with….which means he is no longer a kid. lol But he has been doing photography for 22 years, is tired of the standard pose and smiling, and getting more into elements with a dark edge, which he believes my muscles are perfect for. This will pop my camera cherry and hopefully loosen me up for my time with Mr Moss.

Oh yeah, I am going to be perfectly fine. Perfectly. Talked to my oldest today and things are going well for her. With the exception that she is already asking for money. I recommended she bond with the grandparents who actually have money to send, rather than mom and dad, who for the moment at least…do not. Big news is I meet with Rach & Ter for my first dom session Thursday after work. Well, it may not be an actual session. But we will be discussing things and I get to take a look at the loft. I don’t hide things from my kids. Told them I am going to be exploring this whole dom thing. Sure they think it’s a little weird. But they also know that my life is mine, their life is theirs, and our lives together are something else entirely. This is something I am excited to finally walk through. It may take 3 or 10 flacid business men before I am ready to give the whole deal up. Or, who knows, I may pay my first trip to Rome with the money I earn. Had an outrageously good delt workout this morning. My traps are out if this world. Sometimes I wish they were. Definitely a bit overpowering. At the ethnic festival last weekend I gathered quite a bit of attention. It’s funny when you are out in public and can hear the people around talking about you. I heard quite a few comments. We also had our picture taken by a guy from The Star. (It turned out horrible.) I guess my favorite comment was, “Damn! She even has veins!?

As ferocious as my workout was, I did have a break down and cry estrogen moment in the tanning bed.
Somehow, daughter’s music is on my player. “One Last Kiss” by Papa Roach came on. And suddenly the song was about me and my daughter.

Today was just kindof one of those sucky days! Phone turned off in the morning from lack of payment, worked 8 & 1/2 hours, only got one cum on lunch break,….(ok, just finished off my second),… 20 minutes of cardio….poor sick kid at home…….fighting with my teenagers (this is so rare)….overdrawn in the bank account (not so rare), and it is well past 9 PM and my husband isn’t home. I can’t even call him to find out why. Ok, I could, but that would detail having to hunt an old fashioned phone down, and it’s not going to happen. Did read another chapter in, “V”, by Pynchon. Good book. Bright spot? Husband got our computer working again last night. …..He had to delete every single file (including pictures) to do so. Out with the old in with the new? Tomorrow I have a minimum of 15 sets of deadlifts to look forward to. Think I’ll throw in another 10-12 sets BB Rows. And oh yes, calves. Must work my pretty pretty calves.
