Is this the way it works really?!?!?!!!!????  No……..REALLY?!?!!!!!!!!

You call the boss up.  "Hey Boss Lady.  I know I’m on the clock, but I’m going to come in a little late today.  I have the pressing urgency of Christmas presents to wrap on December 1."

Then you drag your ass in 3 and a half hours later……nonchalantly…..picking lint out your ass……as if you didn’t just get paid $50. to wrap your own kids’ Christmas presents???????

Call me out of touch, call me an old fuddy duddy work-a-holic if you will…………but I have work ethics and this is just plain WRONG.

I am not the only person who has a problem with this.  Every other employee at my library has a problem with it.  My boss has even told me that people have quit in the past because of this person, and yet this stuff still goes on?!?!?  How am I supposed to take PRIDE in my work?  How am I supposed to feel good about putting out maximum effort………or at least SOME EFFORT?????

I have a cruise to pay for and Christmas to get through.  If things don’t change, after January 1, I am putting in for part time.  Sure I love the money.  Sure I love the benefits. Yes I wanted to make a career out of this.  But I refuse to make myself sick by harbouring bad feelings for another human soul.

I am better than this.
