Well I am finally back on here. Kinda lost my focus for a while. Work blocked bodyspace since it is "graphic, extreme, nudity…blah blah blah" & I would rather be training than sitting on a computer at night.
Anyway, I’m back into the groove again. kinda lost it for a while. Life stepped in y’know? I will try & get some new pics up soon.

Went to Riviera Maya, Mexico last week for 5 days for a friend’s wedding. Best time & the food was incredible. Unfortunately I gained about 4-5 lbs eating calamari, octupus, sushi & mahi mahi & steak. Gotta love exotic food & culture.
That said I’m back on the diet & training hardcore. And NO I DON’T HAVE SWINE FLU!!!!

I recently switched gyms & what a kick in the butt! I forgot how much i love Hammer Strength machines. Getting that feeling like when i first started lifting. The pump is amazing & my shoulders don’t hurt 1/2 as bad as they used to. I’ve been really hitting it hard & dieting last couple of weeks. Going to Mexico in 2 days. Have been intentionally dieting down & drying out. Havent done that in long time. Can’t have the Buddha belly going on the beach! ha!

Ok I’ve been dealing with strep for over 2 weeks & could barely swallow anything. So all I have been eating is soup & McD’s shamrock milkshakes. (The are so good). Anyway after all this i hop on the scale. 185lbs!!! You would think with a liquid diet for 2 weeks i would be down but no. Watch those evil things!!!

Yep I have to say it. I was still having trouble with my left shoulder so I went to my Orthopedic surgeon for a checkup. Nothing major but some serious inflamation on my rotator cuff. The flu shot in that same arm didnt help things either! Anyway, got a big dose of the snake oil. Damn that stuff hurts! Got the shot monday & its thurs & I am finally moving my arm again. Just been a light weight/cardio week. Oh well. At least the swelling is gone.

I was in a really good groove. Making good gains on my latest program. My buddy I am training has lost 8 lbs on a low carb/high intensity plan I have him doing. (Yeah I am mean but he is really liking it). So anyway I get a flu shot for the 1st time. Left Delt. By the end of the day I have a marble sized knot at the site. Next day my whole tricep/delt is like I have a bad sunburn. Can barely move my arm. GOD bless Benadryl & tylenol. Knocked out my reaction in a couple of days. Just frustrating since it really disrupted a good groove I had going.
If anyone has trouble with the flu shots - Benadryl! - had to do with the histamines in the shot. It counteracts the irritation. Just fyi!

Does anyone else feel like I do? I have some of my best workouts when I am pissed off. I guess the old primal, aggressive nature comes out but all my workouts are so much better when I am in a bad mood. Everything I am mad about gets focused into those weights. Monday I was in a real bad mood & I was throwing weight up like it was nothing. I think I was actually growling & stomping around the gym. I had one of my best workouts in a long time. Ha!!

Well it’s time to Kick up the intensity again! Started a new program yesterday (9/29). Now that my chaotic & stressful summer has slowed down I can zero in again. Going to help a buddy with his training too. He needs a push so I’m using it as my push too. Get that 10 lbs put on me I have been talking about. Going to go heavy & hardcore again!
He is wanting to trim down so I’m helping him get his diet & ratios down. He just thinks "stop eating" & do the Atkins thing. He drops the weight but is soft & cant figure out why? I’m working out a basic HIIT program for him. Going to be an effort to get him to train hard like he needs to but I like the idea of training someone. Kinda a personal test for me since I always wanted to get licensed at a p.t. Wish me luck!!
