Savage Muscles 0101: Hitting the Road

Savage Muscles

Thus far my transformation has been growth and strength based. I looked at the calendar and saw that we all were about six weeks out on Friday the 31st. I started my cutting program that day.

I’ll be all over the West Coats the next few weeks and I’m not sure I can be as diligent as I’d like to but, if nothing else, I’ll be motivated to do a decen job of holding it all together and not letting my body go completely to hell.

But what it has been has been fantastic.

My weight loss has been slow and it’s also been hampered by my own fears of looking like a stick man. Last year I went on a weight loss program and lost about 30 pounds. I liked that I dropped a lot of inches from my waist, but I was entirely too skinny. I lifted and gained back my weight along with some of those fat inches, unfortunately.

Anyway, using Hydroxycut, I thought I’d go from this…

to this…

That has NOT happened! (No fault of Hydroxycut as I really haven’t been too severe at my calorie-cutting.)

Regardless, I couldn’t do one unassisted chin before the contest, but now my strength has increased to where I’m doing a handful. Almost two handsful! :)

Chin ups, bodyweight x 7 reps

Savage Muscles - Videos For March-Apr & Apr-May

Savage Muscles

The first video is for March 14 & 16, right before I chose to enter the contest. Bodyweight is just a touch over 227 and my lifts are weak! I has been trying to hit 230 through high-rep training and as you can see in the vid my form is pretty horrible!

Bench = 315
Dead = 475
Squat = 385

After this video I started to Grow, I’ve been focusing on the Big Boy lifts, mastering both form and strenght, here’s a video of me Squatting 365×20 and then Stiff Deading 365×10:

Here’s some vids at around 255lbs:

Press Behind Neck = 185×10
Barbell Row = 275×8
Bench = 315×6
