Hello, here are my before pictures.
Tuesday, July 1st, 2008
I will admit I have been procrastinating posting these up because I was embarrassed of the way I look in them. But I figure as long as I do my best in this contest and work hard I have nothing to be embarrassed of. So far that’s what I have been doing. I have been using the supplements I ordered, and I have been in the gym 6 days a week working hard. It looks like I have less than 2 weeks left now to post my afters. This is just an introduction not my essay. Hopefully when you see updated pictures of me you will be able to see a real difference. I have never won any thing in life and I have put every thing I have into this contest, If I can at least end this knowing I tried my best or Inspired some one in the process to try and reach their goals, I will be happy.
Here for the Transformation

I am just now posting my before pics these were taken the day I signed up, which was the begining date of this contest aound the end of May, check newspaper in pic. These pics should still be allowed as it’s the sign up date that counts right? I need clarification if this isn’t correct. To my understanding you just had to sign up before the deadline which is what I’ve done. I’ve been preparing for this contest now since the end of May and am going to show a dramatic improvement. I have been using Leukic Hardcore, Aplodan, Cell Tech, and HydroxyCut Hardcore, however I only purchased Hydroxycut Hardcore from this site, which was one of the stipulations.

Here are my before pictures for the body transformation contest. I hate how my body looks in these pictures, but I am excited to push myself for the next 4 weeks to make myself look and feel better. I have been dieting and working out since the end of January and I have lost about 30 pounds so far. I want to lose another 30 pounds and tone up everywhere. I am excited to see how much my body can change in the next 4 weeks. Good luck to everyone in the competition!
The Beginning to a New Body

Wow! This was hard to figure out but here we go. I guess is better to start later than never. Many things happened this past week that did not allow for me to do my first post. Well, here it is. Between work, school, my extracurricular activities and not know what a Thigh and ABS pose is, I think that I finally figured it out.
I been exercising a little harder since I found out about this contest, which I guess it will make officially my first one ever. Will see where it takes me from here. Tomorrow, it will be my first day that I will go hard core on it. Minimum 5 days a week in the gym and resist any temptation to junk food I think I can transform my body.
Many things will have to change in my habits and now I have a motivation to do so. I’m not sure that 4 weeks will be enough to fully develop up to my goal, but this is just a start.
Good luck to all and work hard!
My Essay: 4 weeks to a new life
Monday, June 16th, 2008
Paradise Lost: I have loved health, wellness and sports all my life! I went to school for Exercise Science and work for a health & wellness company now. However, the last few years brought some familiar bumps in the road: a major life change (a move from New Jersey to Minnesota), an unsupportive network (a bad relationship), and a lot of bad habits that came with a busy work schedule. I went from the person the epitome of an athletic mid-twenty, energetic young man to the late twenties guy who reminisced about the glory days! I remember going back home to NJ for the first time after I moved to MN, my friends’ jaws dropped! I had gained 20 lbs, probably went to the gym a handful of times, and ate more fast food then a proud person would want to mention. I felt like the professional athlete that was on top of the world that was heading towards a hall of fame career and just took it for granted and fell off. I was the guy that people looked at two years before and at that point wondering: "WHAT HAPPENED?!"
Working Hard Now: The last year and a half I’ve been shaking off the after effects of some bad choices. I have adjusted to my work schedule, dropped my ex-wife like the bad habits I assimilated into my life, and used the network of athletes and amazing people at my job for motivation. Last year I proclaimed that 2008 would be the year that I regained my swagger! I was going to not only reach my previous level of fitness and athleticism but I was going to reach two major goals that I’ve always had: run a marathon and a few months later enter my first bodybuilding contest. I was on my way last December till….
Disaster strikes: I was making my road back I decided to play a pick up game of my favorite sport: Basketball. Unfortunately, my knees were used to going forward for 8 miles as opposed to cutting on a dime like Allen Iverson (or so I think). That’s when it happened: I went down like a ton of bricks. One ACL surgery late February had me wondering what 2008 would bring.
LOST: I needed to shake out my funk. I felt my fitness level slowly slip away over a few years and then I saw it get ripped away in one bball game. I realized that I had taken my ability for granted. Nothing is guaranteed in life. You can’t predict an injury, a life change, etc. The best you can do is to push yourself to make it work in the now. With my knee steadily progressing needed to prove that I wasn’t just blowing smoke when I spoke about 2008 being my year!
The Long Road Back: My friend told me about a 1/2 marathon that was 14 weeks after my surgery, and I decided to run with her!!! After 2 hours and 36 minutes of a mentally grueling challenge, I watched athletes both young and old, of all shapes and sizes pass me by. It was then that I realized I needed a balance between jumping feet first into a challenge and preparing for the ‘race.’
Setting myself up for success: I took the time to research the supplements that I was going to use along with my training and diet to take myself to the next level. When I found Leukic, a Muscletech supplement, I found this fantastic opportunity to challenge myself while also following a routine. This is my chance to do regain that potential that I thought might have slipped by, without the fame or the wealth an athlete has (ok, the contest would help a bit with both there
, but more than anything it would help with the personal fulfillment that I yearn to have. It will bring me to the baseline level I need to prepare for my races, and eliminate all of the adipose tissue that hides the physique I knew and love. I can do this! These pictures represent a person trying to transform his life and his body. This isn’t a bodybuilder in his off season. This isn’t someone sticking out his muscle gut. This fat made its way on my body without intention. The muscle that is dormant underneath is waiting to break through. This is my year, this is my contest!

I forgot to post my before pictures. I took them earlier and never put them on the board. Can’t wait for the journey. I guess that means I technically started today. June 16th, the last day… good thing everything else has been organized and already started. And what is wrong with my eyes in the paper picture? I look like I am forcing my eyes open.

Let me start off with–GL to everyone!! I officially started the contest on 5/19/08. I took soooo long to post and enter because we are moving from maryland to myrtle beach, and I did’nt know what I was going to do. I use a complete home gym and thought that I was going to be out of luck when it had to be packed up. I entered because "where there is a will there is a way",we will see what happens. I am also posting some progress pics taken a few days ago. again GL to everyone.

Ok, so like, I entered this on the 2nd of June, took pics on the 5th and yes I am just posting them and my lil essay on the 16th. Does anyone see a pattern here. Is it no wonder why I keep trying this. Man I gotta do something about my procrastination. Sheesh! What am I to do. Keep swimming, that’s what. That is a cute quote from Dori the fish in Finding Nemo. Cutest lil movie.
Well here I go again and by golly I am going to make some noticable (healthy) changes this time. I only have 4 weeks left from this point for the contest but I have the rest of my life to get in and stay in shape. I CAN DOOOOOO IT! Say it with me people. We can do it!
Whoohooo! Wish me well. I wish all of you the best. We will all win in the end. Oh yeah, I purchased Hydroxycut Hardcore and am up to the 3 capsules x2 a day. I take it with my AM Cardio (6a) and evening Cardio (6p). Alrighty Muscletech show me what you can do. I am looking for my 7.9% added loss, ha ha.
