The forbidden water fountain
I have notice this in EVERY SINGLE GYM I have ever been to. There are two water fountains, very close together, one is usually lower than the other, I assume to comply with regulations regarding physically challenged people. But, whenever I choose either fountain to consume my water, there will be people waiting behind me for a drink, but, refuse to use the clearly empty water fountain just beside me. I still have not developed a theory on this. Is the "thats too close to you, I might be thought of as gay’ thing? Or is it like when two straight guys go to a movie, they have to sit with one seat in between them, I assume, so no one will think they are gay? I mean, when I gotta drink, and there are clearly two fountains there to use, I’m f…ing using it. So, I have taken to making my drinking last longer than it needs to, just to make them irritated and see if they will break and head for the other fountain. It’s more funny than anything….and amusing. Anyone got any input on the rationale of that????
