Square One
May 14, 2007So today was my first legitimate workout in about 6 months. Did a few minutes of cardio, then some pullups, chest, and triceps.
Ever since the Marines, I believe that pullups are probably the best single exercise a person can do, so I usually do some ever time I go to the gym. Did a set of 10, then a set of 12, wasnt too bad, but I lost a lot of strength. Chest was pathetic. At my peak about 2 years ago I was benching 100 lbs dumbells on the flat bench. Today I struggled with 55s. Pushed myself to the limit which was nice, but with such light weight, was pretty depressing. Tried some triceps but shoulders were killing me, probably strained something doing chest.
Almost passed out on the way home, litterally… need to double my daily water intake. I only recall drinking 3 glasses of water today. I never want to be this out of shape again.
