Eggs and the Cashier
Anyone who knows me knows I eat a lot of protein. In fact, right now my diet is 70% protein 30% fat. For those who are curious, I am on the C.H.A. diet (www.scivationbooks.com) For me, one of the easiest sources of protein to cook and consume is the incredible egg. I have always liked eggs. For a while there I even loved eggs. Now, I still like them but eat them more for the benefit they provide and in an attempt to meet those macro goals.
Because of the large number of eggs I consume, I have to buy A LOT at one time in order to make it through one week without hitting Trader Joes again just for eggs. It was when I began to buy 6-15 dozen at a time that the idiot comments begun. At first it used to happen every time I would buy eggs…. "So, you like eggs huh?" "Wow, eat eggs much" "SO, you must eat a lot of eggs" "Are you having a party or something" and many combinations. This past time the dim witted cashier asks me if I am "feeding and army". I smiled and said yes, an army of One, I eat a lot of eggs.
Unfortunately, I am almost always in my work attire, shirt and tie/suit and I don’t really stand out as a bodybuilder in that type of attire. So I almost have to wince everytime I pull up to the check stand. Am I alone in this?? They never say anything about the 4 bags of frozen chicken breasts or packets of frozen tilapia and when I buy a case of wine no one ask "Hey man, where’s the party??"
Either let me just buy my darn eggs or try obtaining some real wit.

I just read this. Pretty humorous. I go through Meijer’s self-scan checkout so I don’t get any comments (just looks).

lol well Trader Joe’s does not have a self checkout or I would use that. They just raised their price to $1.49 a dozen.. Makes me sad!
