Two Workouts a Day?

Here’s my situation…

I can get up and workout in the morning, eat great throughout the day, and by dinner time i feel good enough to workout the same muscles again… there is no soreness, no fatigue… i feel just like i did in the morning. So i do my workout twice and everythings peachy… However im told this is bad and doesnt let my muscles recover enough… is this true? I can do my second workout with the same intensity as the first and lift the same weights as the first. My workouts usually last an hour long. I have also tried simply working out once a day… but it seems like there is too much recovering time… i start to wonder if getting big is simply working out then just chilling by the computer the rest of the day…. any opinions?

I know it’s been a while since you put up this question, so maybe you found out from somebody else. Just thought I’d put in what I know. Recovery time in between workouts on a certain muscle are THE most important time for it to grow. When you workout using enough intensity to cause really small tears in the muscle called microtears, then the recovery time is when the muscles repair themselves begger and stronger than before the workout. So every time you workout a muscle hard, you got to let it recover or it won’t grow any bigger. If you’re not feeling any soreness 1-2 days after you work a muscle, then you need to crank up the intensity of your workout. You can do this in different ways - not just by increasing the weight, but that will also do it. I can tell you more if you’re interested.
