correcting muscle imbalances!!
for me dumbbells are the great weapons for correcting those imbalances! it also helps improves strength imbalances.. so i don’t treat dumbbells as a small brother of the barbells..in fact the whole program I’m using right now is compose of only dumbbell routine..

but dont you think that in using dumbells for example, you would cheat on lifting one arm and perform the lifting correctly on the other.
because in my experience in my biceps program, when i used only dumbbells before, i developed larger right biceps than my left biceps, because i wasnt lifting properly on my left.
but if youd use barbells you would be forced to perform equally on both sides.

good question. i recomend start lifting with your weaker arm. or lift with both arms.to see which arm is going out of form. base on your experience. i recomend lifting with both arms at the same time in front of the mirror. just a suggestion. do what you feel good to you.
