The Alpha Male Is Direct and To-the-Point

The Alpha male delivers his message to others directly and succinctly. He is confident in who he is as a person and what he has to say. This confidence comes across clearly in the words he chooses to use, the words he chooses NOT to use, his voice qualities, and his body language (even his body language during phone conversations when it isn’t visible to others).

The Alpha male simply assumes that other people will understand what he is saying. He simply assumes that other people will realize that his intent is honorable. He simply assumes that what he has to say will be respected (even if other people don’t always agree with him).

The unique ability to ASSUME that the very best outcome will occur during every conversation is a tremendous strength of the Alpha male. Being highly assumptive is one of the most charismatic, influential, and persuasive qualities a person can posses.

Think about it.

What  if you, before you uttered a single word to another person, believed with 100  percent certainty and confidence that:

1. The other person was going to  completely understand what you were about to say.

2. The other person  will realize that the intent of your message is 100 percent honorable.

3. The other person will respect what you have to say even if they did  not necessarily agree with you.

Wouldn’t it be easier to STEP UP and say what you want to say directly, succinctly, and confidently? Wouldn’t it be easier to choose the right words, use low, relaxed, and controlled voice qualities? Wouldn’t it be easier to demonstrate powerful leader-like body language?

You bet it would!

When you have something to say–just say it. The fewer words you need  to use to get your point across–the better.

Break the habit of  prefacing what you have to say with qualify statements like "I know you may not like this but . . ." Just assume they will like what you have to say like an Alpha male. You’ll be surprised just how many times the other person will "buy into your frame" because you "sold" your point-of-view so well with congruent words, voice qualities, facial expressions, and body language. Remember, this kind of influence happens on a subconscious level.

When you catch yourself thinking about what the person you are talking to will think when you tell them what you think, you are NOT operating from your own "frame"–and thinking way too much!

Never deliver your message from the frame that you’ll have to work hard to "get their approval" or "convince" them of anything you have to say. The person you are speaking with will instinctively sense that WEAKNESS in you–and respond accordingly. The unfortunate thing for you is that it doesn’t matter if you are 100 percent "accurate" with your message. If you come across with uncertainty or a lack of conviction, whatever you say will be met with doubt or resistance. Take responsibility when these situations occur and learn from them. Don’t blame the other person–blame yourself. You are the person who left that door open for doubt and resistance.

Think about what you are going to say before you say it. Be patient with yourself because it may take some time to break your existing patterns. Practice and exercise this MANformation strategy until it becomes a habit  that you execute without much thought.

“If You Build It, They Will Come”

Live in your own reality. Know exactly what you want before you enter every situation and every relationship you encounter in your life.

Build a “frame” for your life that you want to live in—and let those people who willing, joyfully, and enthusiastically WANT to enter your frame—enter it. There are currently about SEVEN BILLION people living on this planet. I am positive that you can find a few people who will. Don’t you?

As the line in the movie Fields of Dreams with actor Kevin Costner professes “If you build it, they will come.”

And what about those people who would rather not enter your frame? Well, use your most effective influence and persuasion skills to have them “buy into” your reality. If they still refuse, let them go without any hard feelings toward them—or yourself. Sometimes, that’s just the way life works.

If you are truly certain and confident about who you as a person, what you are all about, and the gifts you bring to this world, getting other people to live within your frame definitely isn’t an impossible task.

If you do NOT believe in yourself, how can you honestly expect other people to believe in you and follow your lead? If this applies to you, maybe NOW is the time to start “practicing and exercising” the strategies outlined in the MANformation program on a regular basis.
