I stepped on the scale today at the gym, I push the knob over to 140……..wait a minute….had to nudge it back, back, OMG  I am at 138 YYYAAAAAAAAHHHH Me!!!!!

So now I know what I am doing is taking some effect , I feel so much better…..only thing I still need to build some more muscle, especially in my shoulders, atleast I think so anyways and my arms…..I worked my back,tricep and abs today. I pushed it hard so I will be feeling pain in a couple of days….oh well thems the breaks

OH DID I SAY………………………I LOST 2 LBS (FUNNY THE THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY)

Just a Note

I feel good today, I took some pics yesterday with the help of my daughter and boyfriend. My 10 year old is really excited about me being in a competition. When I  told her she was like "mom, you have to do it". I am realizing that I have a problem with retaining water and now I have to cut my salt intake, great!! I am experimenting with cinnamon, ginger and cayenne pepper on my sweet potatoes and chicken, gives  both a little kick and I have been throwing shrimp in the mix cause I can only eat sooo much chicken. I feel not as bloated today(no salt yesterday).

So now I have to pick a song for my evening walk(granted I make it to top 5)….now that’s getting to be hard and then there’s shoes, still have to go pick those up, will do this weekend.My suit fitting I am going to do in a couple of weeks( still have to pick a color). And then there is figuring out a hotel to stay at…..wow lots to do, not a lot of time. There is so much planning and seems like so little time. My best friend is going to be going down to Toronto with me for the IDFA show, she’s been really helpful with alot and we both need a girls weekend away so after the show we will be hitting the town, can’t wait for that.

Anyways enough talk for now, have to get back to work.

What’s up with my weight

Ok, so I have been on this diet since the April 1st, I know my body has trimmed down but the scale is messing with me… .how can I stilllll weigh 140lbs?????????? Now in my right mind I know it’s because I have gained more muscle and it weighs more that fat but I don’t want to step on the scale at the competiton at 140!!!! I promised myself that I would only step on the scale once a week.So tomorrow I will and I pray I have lost some…..So that way I will know if me tweeking my diet this past week has paid off, I need to lose 1-2 lbs a week to reach goal weight

Do you ever wonder what the hell makes you want to compete, that’s what I have been thinking since I have started this journey. I am preparing to compete on June 30 at the IDFA  in Toronto and let me tell you, I am now sick of chicken breast, sick of trying to figure out how I am going to eat at any special occasions that come up and sick of being hungry for that carb fix. So what makes me want to put myself through all of this (forgot to mention the mood swings), it’s for the end result. It’s for the discipline, it’s for the look that I am going to get when I walk on that stage. All that being said I am scared out of my mind. I get up and do my cardio and I think maybe I should just climb back in bed and sleep a little longer. I eat my oatmeal and egg whites(mmmm) and pack my lunch for the day. I think every single day….maybe I’ll just give up, but my body has started to change and I like what I see so in my mind I repeat  "It’s for the end result". I joined Bodyblog to get inspiration, motivation and hopefully soon I can post pics of my journey.
