Wake me up when December ends

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009

Cause I got a GREAT feeling about coke and eggs! No workouts yesterday, or today. I have a final tomorrow in weight training and half of that is to lift more weight than my previous 180 on bench and 280 on squat. Though there are spotting you on the reps, I dont feel I actually accomplished 180 by myself, and I was definitely robbed from being allowed to go higher than 280 on squat. So tomorrow, 200 is my goal on bench, and 300+ is my goal on squat. I know I can nail the squat, the bench is going to be a bit scary. I dont like going extreme heavy cause I always fear the bar is going to smash my face in…

Coke and eggs. Im losing…weight? But at the same time really slow…but I can notice the visual changes on my body. So the goal of gaining muscle and losing fat at the same time is actually being accomplished. The stuff is definitely different to stomach, but I’ve been sucking it up…and I definitely feel horrible for anyone near me when I fart. It is not pleasant.

So I’ve bought maybe $1000 worth of supplements since I started. From musclemilk, monstermilk, cytogainer, vitakic, hydropremium, champion amino acids, xtend,  blah blah blah, blah blah blah. Yeah. Proteins, gainers, vitamins, energy…I’ve actually stopped taking all those (still have some left, others I just never used again after 1 or 2 tries.) But mainly because while they were helping, how many ingredients did they have that the body just doesn’t need?

Introducing Shaklee. A health company that has been in existence since the 50s. All ingredients organic, all ingredients go through 350 tests each to confirm purity. Sounds nice and dandy. I might have to give them a try.

Coke n eggs.

No more GYM!

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

Cause I got a home gym now, and various other workout equipment. So yes, there is going to be a new routine. 2 workouts per day, morning and night time, and I’ll be concentrating once again on arms and chest. I’ll make sure to give both their needed rest, and make sure my post workout drink is up to par…

Post Workout Drink: 9.5oz of egg whites with a 12oz Mexican Coke. Why? Just to see what happens. They say egg whites are the best form of protein, and I’ll put it to the test. But I really don’t like taking the time to cook them so I’ll just mix it with Mexican Coke that is made with sugar cane vs. its American counter part that uses HFCS. So what do we need right after a workout? To replenish glycogen. What are some acceptable methods? Waxy Maize, Sugar cane, fructose (debatable). So I’ll throw those 2 together and we’ll see what happens in a month.

Yes, I know that raw eggs have that potential danger of causing food poisoning, but the numbers are low. I’ll take my chances. If I don’t log on for a week, the worst could have been possible. If I do log on and Im packing some muscle, wow!

I’ll be working out roughly 5 days a week again, and cardio will be included in some way. I won’t be going out drinking for a while so we’ll see what the results are in January.

I know I’ve had fallouts since I arrived in Austin, and I have my excuses that embarrass me. But now that I have a full gym in my home, there is no excuse. Im ready to make the best change ever.

Are you ready to see it?

Slowly creeping back into the groove…

Saturday, August 29th, 2009

I can’t seem to find the focus I had in the beginning of the year in the weight room. Im sure it’ll come back eventually, still trying to get accustom to this schedule, the gym, and no speed bag. (sad)

But I have the gym, I have access to aerobic classes, and I have a lot of free time. So now its just a matter of getting focused.

Eating is back to spot-on target, and sleep will be synchronized in time. I may go back to taking Cytogainer, just so I can get something in me quick between my workout and getting ready for work and relieving the person in the front desk.

Now just need to gain momentum on the weights, and see where it leads. The belly is almost down to a tolerable size, but strength was lost and build up will be a minor set back.

Best of all: I am riding my bike every single DAY. And loving it. Its why I changed the user name to cruiser mike. (wanted just cruiser, but they didnt pick that option…) Im always cruisin’ somewhere.

Alright. Enough from me. I’ll leave you with a joke. (tuesday n friday were the best ones…)

A Blonde’s Diary

MONDAY:
It’s so much fun to cook for Ron. Today I made angel food cake. The recipe said beat 12 eggs separately. Fortunately, the neighbors were kind enough to loan me some extra bowls.

TUESDAY:
Ron wanted fruit salad for dinner. The recipe said serve without dressing so, I didn’t dress. What a surprise when Ron brought his boss home for dinner.

WEDNESDAY:
A great day for rice. The recipe said wash thoroughly before steaming the rice. It seemed sort of silly, but I took a shower. I can’t say it improved the rice any.

THURSDAY:
Today, Ron asked for salad again. I tried a new recipe. It said prepare ingredients, then toss on a bed of lettuce one hour before serving. Which is what led up to Ron asking me why I was rolling around in the garden.

FRIDAY:
I found an easy recipe for cookies. It said put all ingredients in a bowl and beat it. There must have been something wrong with this recipe. When I got back, everything was exactly the same as when I left.

SATURDAY:
Ron did the grocery shopping today and brought home a chicken. He asked me to dress it for Sunday (Oh boy). For some strange reason, Ron keeps counting to ten.

SUNDAY:
Ron’s parents came to dinner. I wanted to serve roast, but all I could find was hamburger. Suddenly, I had a flash of genius. I put the hamburger in the oven and set the controls for roast. Much to my disappointment, it still came out hamburger.

GOOD NIGHT DEAR DIARY:
This has been such an exciting week. I can hardly wait for tomorrow to come so I can try out a new recipe on Ron. If only we could get a larger oven, I would love to surprise him with Chocolate Moose.

New Goal and Dream story

Monday, May 25th, 2009

Okay, first of, immediately after this post, I have to get moving. Got lots to do today, and I woke up late and been picking at chores at the house here and there, but I need to step it up!!

New Goal: 145-150 lbs before I leave Cheyenne. I dont care if it’s just shy of 145, or 147lbs, I want to gain some muscle. Right now, I’ve shed off 2 of the 3 lbs I gained while on leave, so Im doing okay. Date implimented is TODAY: 25th of May 2009. So that gives me till the 18th of July, my last day in Cheyenne and I-WILL-LEAVE-THAT-DAY. Just under 2 months. So if I gain a minimum of 2 lbs a month, I’ll be happy.

I know how much harder it is to gain weight (LEAN weight) than it is to lose, so any progress I’ll be happy with. Lots and lots AND LOTS of veggies coming my way. Supplements are also going to take a dive. I think Im gonna stop taking MonsterMilk (wipes tears) cause I can get the 100g of protein Im looking for in a day from regular foods. A bit tougher, but we’ll see how it goes.

New Toy: An egg cooker/heater/baker. Whatever its called. It basically boils the eggs and I can boil 6 at a time. I know how to boil eggs, but I tend to lose track of time cause once you put them in the pot, nothing else is required. Even after I set the timer, I wander off mindlessly so in the end, their either too hard, not hard enough, or they cracked early in the game and spilled. Oh well, this new toy will help with that! Haven’t tried it yet, n I can’t wait to try it out!

Supps: Vitakic and WAR. I toned down the vitamine intake of Vitakic cause I got bi*ched out by a friend telling me vitamines are for people that dont GET their vitamines from veggies, and it IS possible to over consume vitamines and minerals, which is how vitakic works. (he’s a certified nutritionist. Boy did we have some interesting nutritional conversations, haha) So i decided to just tone the intake down just to get whatever it is thats keeping me toned from the Vitakic and with WAR, it did me good in the gym so I want to keep at it with the Wazy Maize.

Dreams: For those that have nightmares night after night after night, I feel your pain. Whatever those nightmares are about, they suck, period. THANKFULLY, I dont wake up panting and sweating from mine, or at least not yet. I’ve only been back from hell for 8 months now. But DAMN! Last night I, ONCE AGAIN, had dreams about being ‘over there’ again. It almost felt like a videogame. Bad guys kept popping out from roughly the same places, and I was spot on with my aim (plus it helped that I had a modified version of the M-203. Look it up) and was able to take them down with the 3 other people I was with while being trapped in a building. What made it the nightmare is that, one of the 3 ppl I was with go shot and went down, another FINALLY started helping me AFTER the first guy went down, and the 3rd was just sitting inside the building doing nothing. Again, bad guys were dropping, this was good. The worse? I WAS running out of ammo. And The bad guys kept coming.

Quick Lesson: In Iraq, everyone has 2 weapons. Their primary, which could be a machine gun, a rifle, grenade launcher, or Mounted Machine gun, AND a secondary which is usually a pistol. Sometimes, a few have 3 weapons. A heavy Machine gun, a rifle, and a pistol.

In my dream I had 3: grenade launcher (ran out of ammo) M-4 (rifle. Ran out of ammo) and an M-9…and this was My last line of defense and again, the bad guys kept coming. Stepping over the dead bodies, the were able to just walk towards us cause it was taking more and more shots to bring one down. The other guy with me wasn’t doing so good on his end.
Just before I started freaking out that their too close too us

My phone rang and I woke up.

Energy

Thursday, May 21st, 2009

Who would have thought there was a few simple explanations on energy, but unless you go digging for it, you wont understand? The benefits of my certification!

Energy: Okay, so the body, before any strainous effort is done, has an energy source called ATP (Adenosine-5′-triphosphate) but it does not last very long. Within the first seconds of lifting, ATP is depleted. So the body calls on its back up energy, Creatine Phosphate. (think I spelled it right) This gets transferred to ATP as needed. THEN this creatine soon gets depleted too. SO!, the body calls for its NEXT energy source, GLUCOSE! And it gets glucose from the muscles. Stored simple sugars in the muscles (glycogen) are used for energy. Glycogen breaks down to glucose as needed and then breathing (weird huh) breaks down glucose to send to ATP/Creatine Phosphate. Keep a steady breathing, cause this is how glucose can produce enough ATP.  The whole idea of going to the gym and break down your muscles…there ya go. This is how it happens! Never thought it was like this. BUT ANYWAY, okay, so glucose is used for energy. Where can you get more glucose? DUH! Dextrose, Maltodextrin, Waxy Maize…Okay, Im not saying to take these, but this is MY story…

MY Story: Okay, so I started taking the product WAR maybe 2 months ago or so. It recommended to take one serving half way throught the workout, and immediately after training. Im thinkin, ‘Hell no. Im gonna run out of this stuff QUICK!’ So I didnt. THEN, after reading the above information, I realized why they recommended one during the workout. It contains wazy maize. So, Im at the gym breaking down my muscles and losing the stored glycogen. Why not replenish these with more glycogen? Or just get the body more glucose in general? SO, 2 days into the ‘Back in Business’ I’ve done this. yesterday I tried it out, and noticed I was able to still carry the heavy weights, unlike before. TODAY, after 2 brutal leg workouts, my legs were trembling. Took the midway serving, and BAM!, I was able to keep on rockin 2 more exercises with heavy weights, and not have to drop the weight like I used to because I was fatiegued. AWESOME!

Am I saying to go out and buy WAR? Nah, xtend I think has the same qualities, or other products out there. Basically, your tryin to get some simple sugars in your body during your workout so you can keep going strong. Thats why many of the products recommend you taking 1 serving during the workouts. They dont tell you WHY, but now you know. And knowing is HALF the battle…haha.

FOOD: Holy hell. Corn has carbs. Broccoli has carbs. Peas…carrots…oranges…banaynays….haha
. Well, Im gonna try to get about 100g or close to it immediately after working out. Get those carbs straight to the broken down muscles. Get some simple sugars in there, but more complex than anything. Oh, Im reading that CARBS is what make your muscles grow, not protein. Protein repairs, carbs make them grow. So Im actually dropping my protein intake to just about 100 grams a DAY. Fats? Well, I think Im doing good in that sector. 1 tbsp of olive oil per day. maybe 4-8 sprays from my PAM olive oil a day. MAYBE an avacado a day, or half, and perferably soon after working out. Not many more fats introduced into the body, except the sat from meats, eggs, and my monstermilk, which I will be changing out for monster food here soon. So, carbs total, maybe 250-300 a day. Majority in the mornings and after working out. Getting them from fruits and vegetables, and Im even toning down on milk…I mean, A LOT. Im sad. I used to drink milk with cottage cheese before bed, BUT THEY TOO HAVE SUGAR! Damnit, ya can’t win…

Well… ;) not yet anyway…

As I sit her eating my yogurt…

Saturday, April 18th, 2009

Im going to type away as to what is going on inside my head and all the crazy thoughts bouncing around in there. Fitness, nutrition, supplements, certification, competition, politics?

Supplements: My last serving for Myo-shock was yesterday. I finished them all. Done, no more. Threw out the bottle and not going to buy anymore. Didn’t do what I was hoping it would do. I have a high tolerance for caffeine, which is what one of myo-shock’s main ingredient is. So it did me no good, never really did. But I still gave it a try, and nothing.

SO, now I have moved on to Xtend. I’ve read up on it, read a lot of good reviews on it from other bodyspacers, (eat a bit of yogurt…YUM!), and overall want to give this a try. BIG REASON: Don’t have to take 30-45minutes before workout and try to time it right to hit the weights within this window. No, I will take the pre workout/during workout serving JUST before I actually begin lifting. So, I-MAKE-THE-SCHEDULE. We’ll see how THIS works out for me.

Nutrition: I think is going GREAT! I can’t wait to finish these last 2 weeks of this diet and going back to eating regularly with some cheat days! Oh how I miss pizza…But also, alcohol. I am actually not drinking because I choose to not drink. And its doing me good, and realizing I dont really like the grogginess of the day after a night of drinking. ESPECIALLY if its a gym day, cause they usually dont turn out so good…Anyway, all I want is cheese cake right now. Cheese cake, with strawberry toppings, and a tall glass of milk.

Oh, and Im saying the WHOLE cake, not just a slice. I want it. I want it NOW.

Fitness: Im sore. I wont lie, I laughed this morning when my shoulders and chest were just tight! Moved them around a bit, stretched, still sore but feel better. I love it, but I did go too heavy on (yogurt bite…yummm) 2 exercises. Oh well, I pushed out what I could. I had no ipod, but didn’t let that get the best of me.

Base Gym: Have I ever mentioned that I hate snow? No? Yes? Oh well, just to be on the safe side and inform every one: I F*CKING HATE MOTHER F*CKING SNOW! There, all better. :)

I had to go to the base gym yesterday cause my gym was closed, due to snow. Whatever. I missed my 30-45 minute window with myo-shock by like a half hour. (more yogurt…) Thankfully, I didnt see a lot of idiots. Actually, I dont believe I saw any. I dont know if its because I had to concentrate even MORE without music, or maybe all 10 people in the gym were really there to workout. Guess that would be more reasonable since you’d really have to WANT to go to the gym, even during a snow storm. Great workout, no music, 2 exercises too heavy. All in all, good day.

Fitness/Competition: 2 more weeks. 2 more weeks of Tabata training, and till the end of my 16 week ‘transformation’ for the muscletech competition. I can not wait for this to be over. Tabata is really greuling, and I would really just like to go back to traditional training. On the PLUS SIDE, I would LOVE to see how stronger I’ve gotten. I haven’t done an ‘ALL OUT’ workout where I do:Chest press, Leg press, Squats, Deadlift, Plate stack Row, Clean to overhead Press. I check to see if strength has gone down, or gone UP! So far, its been going up since I started over a year a go. Again, I could only squat 130 when I started. Im up to 250 the last time I did a squat as just a workout and that was about a month and a half ago. So I can’t WAIT! (damn…Im out of yogurt…that makes me sad. :( )That’ll happen in the middle of the week after I finish for the competition.

Certification: No joke. But as of TODAY, I have exactly 4 months to complete all remaining 12 courses. Gotta get it done. I WILL get it done. Enough of that.

Politics: I hate them. I hate politicians. I hate all the stupid ass laws coming out to better control the people of america. Or should I say, North American Union, now to include Mexico and Canada. Cause things are going GREAT with the Eurpoean Union, ….right? Haha. Little by little, they’re slowly and very sneakingly taking our ‘freedom’. They dont take our privacy, they make us GIVE it to them through fear of ‘terrorism’. They dont take our right to bear arms, they just tax and code ALL ammunition making buying ammo more of an inconvenience. I’ve been to the desert. I saw what I saw. And all I can say is its a load of bullshit they’re feeding everyone. 4 more months till I get out of the military. TODAY, 4 more F*CKING months…

Where did ‘freedom’ go?…

‘I’m kickin’ MY ASS, DO YA MIND!?’

Sunday, April 12th, 2009

Haha. A quote from Jim Carry in Liar Liar. I remembered the line while I was doing HIIT while running and literally kicking my own ass that it hurt. But no pain, no gain, right? Well, there was definite pain.

Tabata: One thing thats difficult to figure out with tabata is the amount of weight to use. Once I start, I dont switch the weight. I just keep going, and if it turns out to be too light, I just work with it. 4 out of the 7 were on point. The other 3 could use a little bit more weight. But the run was ass kickin. I went to the base gym which, is what the rest of this blog will talk about…enjoy ;)

Air Force Base Gym: There are many reasons I dont like this gym, but 1 reason I do. That reason is: Its available. My gym was closed for easter sunday, BUT just because THEIR closed, doesn’t mean Im not going to workout. So I went to the 24 hour gym on base. It has an indoor track, 3 lanes: walking, jogging, running. It takes either 10 or 15 laps around the track to equal a mile. Can’t remember cause I dont run for distance anymore, I just run for time. I took advantage of the indoor track, and got a good run in. But the MANY reasons I dont like going to the gym are various. Let me explain 2 reasons that happened today.

5 minute Workout: It takes 4 minutes to do an exercise in tabata training. I was resting be exercises when 2 cops came in to workout. How do I know they were cops? They were representing with (sarcasim) cool ass Security Forces sweaters and sweet ass Security Forces t-shirts. They put their stuff down and get on the indoor track. They performed some sort of HIIT on the track. All I know is, they began their ‘workout’ while I was getting ready for my next exercise. I perform my exercise, and 4 minutes are up. Out of breath, a little sweaty, I notice out of the corner of my eye the 2 cops grabbing their sweet-ass SF sweaters, and they exit the gym. So…yeah. That must of been intense if they were done already. Why even bother…

15 Minutes: Or somewhere around that. All I know I was half way through my run (15 min give or take) when I noticed some girl walk in and to the back of the gym. Took off her sweater, and began stretching. Okay, whatever. my run was 35 minutes long, a few minutes before I finished, she was finished too. With stretching. Put her sweater back on, and walked out of the gym. Umm…was the trip to the gym even worth it? Could this have been done at home? Or did she just want to do a few yoga poses in the gym to possibly…yeah. I hope she lives on base and didnt waste gas to get to the gym and back.

I go to the gym!: Im sure this is the mentality a some AF ppl have when they go to the gym. And I see this EVERY time Im at the base on gym. More recently because (annoyed face) of PT, Physical Training. More like PM, Physical Movement. Cause all we do is move. I can move my arms, legs, and core. The same exercises, various types of pushups, various types of situps, lundges, jumping jacks, 3 times a week. Over and over. For some people that dont exercise regularly and only do any sort of working out during these PM (cough) PT sessions, ITS GREAT! Not enough to get results, but maybe workout a sweat or 2. I will admit, I make minimum effort at these sessions. I got to the gym immediately (from the base gym to MY gym) after these sessions for a real workout. I want as much energy for my session as I can have. THEY did not help me get to where I am. PT SESSIONS are not going to further my progress. I am (being nice) SLIGHTLY annoyed each and everytime I go to these. Military: If something is made mandatory, end of story.

GNC: Does not sell Xtend. I learned this the EMBARRASING way. First, I read about Xtend on someone elses profile. Looked up other people that use Xtend and I haven’t seen any complaints. So I want to give it a try. Myo-shock…really didnt give me the boost I was looking for. Anyway, I go to GNC to see if they have Xtend and take a closer look at it. The lady says, ‘YES, I know I’ve seen it before, just got to look for it.’ So Im looking for a green tub, all over the store to help look for the product, and shes looking for ‘it’ as well. (theres a reason for the ‘ ‘ ) Having a conversation while we’re both looking, Im explaining how I’ve read many people like it, and shes saying that shes seen a few ppl try it before. This goes on for 5-7 minutes in a tiny store. I cant find Xtend, and Looked everywhere, and am CONVINCED that they dont have it. SHE, however, keeps looking. Even though I looked throught the store twice, and no sign of it, she knows its around. ‘AH HA!, here it is!’ I look down as she brings up some pills. The label: Extendz. FOR THE MEN WHO THING THEIR (COUGH COUGH) NEEDS LENGTHENING. Im like, ‘That is DEFINITELY NOT what I am looking for.’ I laugh, she apologizes, and Im out of luck. Guess I’ll just buy from this site, no biggie.

Lean Muscle: I would like to get bigger. My goal is 160lbs, but LEAN. No hurry to get there, since Im sure its gonna take 2-3..4 years? Basically, its gonna take time. But I had no idea I had so much fat around my muscles already. Im losing weight, SLIGHTLY losing size in measurements, but Im guessing thats just fat. Im moving more weight, which is good, and it keeps going up, not down, like it was when I was overtraining. Thats when I had a 9 days on, 1 day off cycle, 8-12 exercies each workout. Im moving up, and feeling better. In time, I will reach my goal. BRING IT.

Its already been BROUGHTEN!

Tabata Training

Friday, April 3rd, 2009

Just to explain this training I found in last months muscle & fitness mag last month. Starting out, I bought a Gymboss. This nifty device will help in this training. Yes, I hear, read that it was going to be pretty intense and am gonna NOT want to come back to it for a long while after Im done with 4 weeks.

The Concept: Simple. Its interval training with weights. More lifting, less rest. 8 sets for each exercise. 20 seconds lifting, 10 seconds rest, till the 8 sets are done. The gymboss will help with this cause I can set the time intervals and it will vibrate each time the 20 sec or 10 sec are up so I can keep focused. Im thinking I will be working 2 body groups per workout, 5 lifting days, 1 day fully deticated to cardio.

WAR: Bought it. Will be using this as my post workout revocery drink. Eh, I figured this tabata is going to be pretty rough on me, so Im gonna need all the help I can get! My supplement routine is going to be: Vitakic  first thing in the morning, every morning. 1 scoop of Monstermilk with water and Myo-shock 30-45 minutes before working out. On off days, I will take 1 scoop of MMilk with water at some point. Post workout will be 1 scoop of WAR with water, and will only take a scoop on workout days.

Clean diet: Well, as clean as I know. I will be drinking tonight, as my last night of fun. Tomorrow, POSSIBLY, but not likely. I will also have some PIZZA. 4 weeks of being serious. No simple carbs, no alcohol, low fat, lots of water. I want to get as lean as possible with Tabata and also try to grow the arms again.

M&F: I tried one of their workouts back in december and into january. I realized that my body cannot handle their workouts, cause I gained half of what the workout said I would. Yeah, everyone is different, but I was ridiculously overtraining. This time, I will not follow the workout pattern in the magazine, rather just the concept.

Focus: The most I’ve ever put into my health and fitness. Again, I want to be noticed for this competition. Still a beginner, so I haven’t fully been able to reduce my cheat days, and alcohol to nothing, but in time.

I WILL be noticed.

Mío-shock tryout and the Punching Bag.

Sunday, March 15th, 2009

Well, I definitely screwed up my first try with myo-shock. Heres a run down of what I was faced with that all ended up getting me pissed off at the beginning of my workout.

Sundays are my house clean-up days. Also laundry days. Also 1st day of my workout cycle. My gym closes at 5pm. So no matter what I do, I have to be at the gym ready to workout just prior to 3 so I dont have to rush my workouts, which has happened twice already. So I get up and get the day started, cleaning, and washing from about 10am to 2. At this time, Im feeling really hungry and dont even consider I need to be getting to the gym soon. So I eat 2 bean tacos around 2. Then I realize: holy shit, I need to take the myo pretty soon cause the label recommends 30-45 minutes prior to working out. Well, I took them not too long after I ate. Then right before 3, I headed to the gym.

Hmmm, have y’all ever had that feeling that your stomach is filled with gas and you need to burp, BUT you can’t. This is what I was feeling with my first 2 workouts. I was getting mad cause I kept stopping in the middle of sets to try to force the burp out, but I couldnt, causing me to lose concentration. So I said screw it, got pissed off and just did fast reps to get something going. Then little by little, I burpped the gas out, and was feeling better, thankfully right before I started doing abs. Abs were rocked, I dont know about my chest, though. I dont think I felt the myo effects till after my 3rd exercise. Did the 2 tacos get in the way of the effects or did it just take a while to spark? We’ll find out tomorrow.
Punching Bag: Okay, so Im already pissed cause I didnt get a good light chest workout, my abs are burning from the exercises, and I’ve been dyin to punch this bag till I FEEL Im tired, not cause the gym is closing. And boy, I enjoyed every bit of it. About 21 minutes worth of punching, bouncing around, getting my cardio in. I was even throwing elbows into the mix, which Im thinkin I might need to get some sort of wraps for them cause they burn a little right now. And I got boxing gloves, but very light ones, if thats the proper term. Basically, my hands are sore, and my elbows burn, my abs are crying, and my chest…well, Im working it out again tomorrow anyway so it’d better be ready.

Slaps in the Face for today: So, what I learned, or should get slapped in the face reminder is

1) Know what time it is! I dont like to eat a full meal, or even a medium sized meal before I go to the gym. Today reminded me why again. I dont like that feeling of being full when I workout. It was truly aggrivating me today.

2) LIGHT WEIGHT! I did pretty good today with this, but I could have and SHOULD have gone a bit lighter on 2 exercises to get the high reps I was aiming for. My judgement was clouded due to the stomach gas.

3) Punching Bag cardio should probably NOT be done before an upper body workout. Tomorrow is chest day again, I dont know how Im going to feel after this cardio session. Live and learn, what else can ya do?

4) Honey also contains sugar. Keep it controlled, but dont be afraid to consume it. YUMMY!

5) Bread Basket is closed on sundays, but its on Maxwell street. I am that much more knowledgable now. haha

Bread Basket, and beyond!

9 things Women Say. How manipulatively true…

Sunday, March 15th, 2009

NINE WORDS WOMEN USE

(1) Fine : This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

(2) Five Minutes : If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

(3) Nothing : This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.

(4) Go Ahead : This is a dare, not permission. Don’t Do It!

(5) Loud Sigh : This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.)

(6) That’s Okay : This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That’s okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

(7) Thanks : A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you’re welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says ‘Thanks a lot’ - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say ‘you’re welcome’. That will bring on a ‘whatever’).

(8) Whatever : Is a woman’s way of saying F- - - YOU!

(9) Don’t worry about it, I got it : Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking ‘What’s wrong?’ For the woman’s response refer to # 3.

***Start on Myo-Shock today. Is my heart going to explode? (had a heartbeat of 40-45bpm when I was getting my wisdom teeth removed. And this was PRIOR to them giving me anything. I had just sat down in the chair and relaxed…haha) Maybe myo-shock will help the heat rate.
