What a ****ty day…

Saturday, November 8th, 2008

So yes, I drank last night after working out. Thats why I was dragging so much today. But I still went to the gym to do shoulders and traps. Also, I bought AminoShooter to try it out. That made me feel sick the whole time working out. Plus, Im already exhausted, and get bummed out that since I started focusing a lot on shoulders back in april or may, the weight I push/pull has only increased by 5 pounds. It sucks! well, except for shrugs, that has been increasing. So now Im bummed, but continue to work out. I have to keep dropping weight cause front presses and rear presses are getting heavier and heavier. 10lbs on each side. DAMN! Oh well, today was just not a good day at the gym. But I still went, and completed my workout. So I learned that, after a night of drinking, either do some sort of cardio, or maybe abs calves and forearms. I just was not feeling it today at the gym. Im glad I got a great shrug workout with dumbells atleast. 65lbs, which is new to me!

Then to top it off, I get home and attempt to make rice for the 3rd time. At least it wasn’t still hard after cooking it. Well, MOST of it was not hard. But it still sucked. I tried adding cheese, but I still ended up throwing it away. Mmmm, peanut butter and jelly…..

My first attempt, I burnt the rice. HAHA. The second the whole thing was still hard. I’ll get it eventually. Practice practice practice! I’ll try again tomorrow.

any painful glutes workouts out there?

I did legs today, but wasn’t as good as last weeks. I got my quads and hams pretty good, but I feel nothing on my glutes. I tried this donkey kicks machine today, and although its ment for glutes, I felt a good burn in my quads….hmmm. not my intentions. I must of been positioned wrong or something. oh well.

I know lunges are good, but I get bored with them, even adding more weight to the barbell.

So, any other workouts to specifically target glutes? Something preferably using weights in some way.

Back in the Gym! Its great!

So the last time I went to the gym was on leg day last tuesday. My quads were sore for 3 days. 2 of those days were while I was in Vegas, which was a lot of fun by the way. 3 days total in vegas and rode back to cheyenne. Didnt quite make it but thats another story. The story here is what I brought back FROM Vegas. I called it in my previous blog…

A nice layer of flab around my stomach…and I didnt go to the gym sunday cause I was beyond tired, where I couldnt move. Monday, after work, I was still pretty tired, plus I had to go shopping for food. When it was all done, It was too late and I had to be up early again, so no gym.

So one whole week goes by, a layer of flab hanging, and Im just ready to give up on the gym again. NOPE! I put on my gym clothes so I couldn’t have an excuse and forced myself to go, as worn out as I was, and still am. But oh man, the energy I got going to the gym today was amazing! I was pushing weight, pulling, pushing, pushing! Chest and Tri’s day rocked more than I thought it would. And I still mustered enough energy to jump rope for 14 minutes, so all in all Im glad I went to the gym. I will be hurting tomorrow though. Not only in chest and tri’s, but I gotta get up at 5am… boo hoo. I’ll just suck it up and go to the gym again to target LEGS!

So once again. Just Go. The gym rocks!
