Coming back writing

I know I have not been writing for awhile. I have been really busy with work the last two months, here in florida it is the season for the tourists from up north to come down here and the gym it pack every day. I also been involve in running fitness classes, and a weight lost challenge program. However, between all of this I have been really good to keep up my eating and working out. From my last blugs I changed my routine and eating quite a beat, I am getting good gain. I set up myself for a 5 months program to start and bring my physic to a competition figure level. So far so good. My shoulder injury is getting better, and my knees are really good these days, so I am really happy about that, it took me a year to get it better. Now, that the injuries are fine, I am going back to a more aggressive martial arts training, it’s nice to come back into it.

Today, was my day off for everything so I spent most of the time catching up and taking nap. The only downside that I have is I don’t get enough sleep during the week so I try to to catch up during the weekend. Tomorrow, I am going to work chest and shoulders during the day, and I am going to do my cardio at night, I like to break it up it’s easier time wise and also it feel that I am not at the gym 24/7

On that note it’s time for another protein shake

My back workout last night was really not the best one, my shoulder prevented me from doing pull down, and as far as rows it was not that great. Each time my shoulder acts up on me I keep having a burning and shooting pain all the way down my arm. Anyway, it was a very light workout for me, I reserved biceps for today and abs, will see how it goes. This morning I managed to get my half cardio on the treadmill, I really hate working out in the morning especially at 6 am, not being a morning person it’s kind of hard, but since I am at the gym I have some time between clients, so I might as well do something productive. Tomorrow night I either take day off from lifting or I will do legs instead of saturday, I’ll see how I feel by then. I like to do legs in the on Saturday or Sunday because I have time to get good sleep and recuperate from the week, usually comes Friday and I am tired.

Time to go to work now!

Back online

November 28, 2007

After taking some time off from the online world, but not from the real world I finally have some time to surf around. My schedule has been very busy with personal training, and working out, but it paid off. First, I managed to get hired in one of the most presticious fitness tennis club and create my own fitness programs, which really took off well. So, that alone kept me very busy. Workout wise, it has been ok with good days and bad days. my injured knees are healing now, so I can go back to a more serious martial art training, the only difficulty I have been having is with my shoulder. These days I have been annoying, I was not able to do uppper body for couple weeks, now it’s a little better so I can start again and see how this is going to work. I happy to say that I made a lot of progress with my squats, my legs are really getting strong now.Tonight I am going to work on my back, and then Firday I will probably do legs, and will try to work chest and shoulders saturday if i can. Now it’s time to take a nap, I really like taking those naps during the day, like my bf call it the power nap, after you are good to go for another workout!

Great traps workout

I worked on my traps yesterday, it was a really good workout for couple weeks I did not spend enought time working on my traps, so I this time I made an effort and focus on it. Now, I can feel the workout and it feels good. Overall I had a great back workout beside that for whatever reason I fellt weak when I was doing my pull down, could not lift that much, but that ok. I also worked on my biceps and forearms, I don’t usually work on my forearms that much and I can feel it now. Next, time on back day I am going to work more on my low back, it seems that I am slacking working on my lower back. Today, it’s my day off, and tomorrow I am going to do cardio, and maybe legs I am trying to give it a rest because I have a tear in the medial ligament on the other knee, so it seems that right now both of my knees are not really in good shape. Tomorrow its monday and its the begining of the week, will try to do the best as usual.

Squats

October 29, 2007

Yesterday I worked on my legs and I have to say I worked them more than I thought because today I can feel it. I making some progress with the squats, and my knees don’t hurt too much when I do squats. I did couple set and went up to 115 lb my goal with squats is to be able to squat 135 lbs in the next 3 months. This morning very early since I had to train a client around 5 am this morning, I took some time to work on my cardio. I really hate working out that early, cardio it’s the only thing I can do at this hour, I can’t lift anything, anyway I was happy to squizze in some cardio since last night I was not good girl! I went out and had a banana slipt, I am going to blame my biyfriend for this who had this wonderful idea, but I have to say it was really good!

Tomorrow, I am going to work on cardio only, and no lifting. Then Wednesday I am going to work on chest and shoulders, hopefully my shoulder will be ok.

Ok I took three days off, most because I was working. In a way it was good for me to take those days off in row otherwise if I am not force to do that I am never going to do it! just came back from the gym today and I worked on my shoulders, chest and core, it was a good workout overall, but my shoulder was bothering me today, same thing as couple weeks ago. For awhile it was fine and it improve when I was doing shoulder presses I did not feel any pain, and then last week it came back. I think there is one exercise I am doing that is creating this problem, not sure if it is the lateral raise with the dumbbells or the raises I do with the cables, when I do it it’s fine but then right after I am not working out, I can feel it. At this point it’s just annoying, somehow I am going to have to figure this one out.  Other than that, I worked on my core today that is always good.  I did some cardio for 25 min I was kind of slacking, today I really did not feel like doing cardio, not sure if it is because of the rain here all day. Anyway, tomorrow I am not lifting but will do some cardio, and this time I will try to not slack!!

Weekend

October 20, 2007

I had good run this week with my workouts, Friday was legs day and squats were on the program, for some reason Friday night I was really tired and the joints were hurting. I did a very light legs workout and focused more on core training. It was not too bad, but I may need to review my schedule usually on Friday I do legs, but I think I am going to switch to Tuesday or Wednesday, end of week it seems that I getting tired fast and the joints are not happy at the end of the week. Today, I did triceps and biceps I have been really pleased with the gain I have made with on the those areas, for the longest time I could not get any gain on my triceps. Tomorrow, it’s going to be day off, and I am taking off monday too since I am going to be working all day.

Squats

October 15, 2007

Two days ago I had a very quick workout since I was running out of time since the gym on Saturday here closes at 5 P.M (yeah I know 5PM)!!!!! I was annoyed because I was thinking what kind of workout I can have in half hour. Actually, it was one of my best legs workout. I focus on squats and I went up to 110lb which for me since I am not use to do squats in a squat rack it was a little heavy for I managed to get 12 reps out of it. Of course that is with a lot of screaming from my workout partner who by the way was the one who drag me out and force me to squats since I really don’t like squats that much.  After that I did couple sets on the leg press and leg extension manchine. It was a really short workout but I can feel it in my legs today still. Today, i am going to try to do half hour cardio, and tomorrow I am going to work on my back since I am way overdue for that.
