Dear Body Blog, (5)
I am so frustrated. I have been trying not to weigh myself as often because it is easy for me to get obbsessive over my weight. So, today I weighed myself and I am still 159 pounds. I have completely changed my workouts I am eatting sooo much better, I just do not understand why I am not losing weight.
Well, all I can do is keep working hard and maybe I will have better results next week… Hopefully!!

Don’t get to worried about the scale as changes won’t always show up there. Go more by how you look in the mirror and how your clothes fit. You are right, if you keep working hard the results will come. They just take time. Another thing that I have found is that calipers and a tape measure are good to have since you can see the results there even if the scale doesn’t show it.

Agree fully with weigesco. Hang in there, it will be worth it.

hi…my advice….throw out your scale right away….who cares what that stupid thing says….first off, if you feel good, that is number one..your body won’t change with one workout…your weight won’t change with one workout…but one workout can make you feel soooooo good….once you can let the weight thing go and just start working out because you love the way it make you feel…and make better food choices because you feel better for doing it…everything will come togerher and it will snowball and continue to motivate you to push yourself harder and eat just a little better and you will see results and all the hard work will be worth it and down the line, just for shits and giggle you will step on the scale and find that without thinking about it you have passed that magic number that you always wanted to get to…you will look better than you ever thought you would and it will be sooooo awesome!!!

The scale is not a good way for me to see progress either. Time is the only way to really see if things are moving in the right direction. i wouldnt be too frustrated though…you still look amazing

Ditto above. With changes in BF & muscle, water intake & retention, food digestion, etc. the scale is NOT an accurate measure of progress. Especially short-term. See my blog yesterday (5/27) for a little experiment I did with the scale that shows it’s a waste of time using the scale to gauge your progress short-term.

I am having the same problem and it is very frustrating! I have changed my routine and diet yet again and hopefully it’s working this time. I was Terrible over the holiday weekend with eating, drinking and no workouts..but thankfully i weighed the same on Tuesday morning as I did on Thursday morning before all the celebrating started! So i am taking that as a good sign and sticking to this Just keep pushing ahead…you look good and the changes are bound to come!

I can’t say much that hasn’t already been said, but maybe I can ask a few questions.
How long have you been doing this? I mean REALLY doing this?
You are eating much cleaner, but what does that mean? It’s a step in the right direction, absolutely, but what does your diet consist of?
I am roughly the same weight as I was in February, but my body fat has been cut in half. I don’t mind the weight, if I don’t have the fat.
Honestly, I don’t know what your goal is, but you look like anything is reachable. You’ve got a good start.
