Supplement update

Tuesday, September 4th, 2007

Now that I’m back at it, I’m just waiting on my shipment of supps I ordered to arrive. I can’t wait to try ZMA and tribulus terrestis, and to get back on Shock Therapy and Storm. I been curious for quite some time about trying tribulus and ZMA, but I’ve been cautious due to the fact that I’m a bit nervous about playing with my testosterone levels. So hopefully all will go well. I was also curious about trying one of the many ‘total package’ products meant to boost testosterone such as Vitrix or Axis-HT or Zeus, but I decided to try the Optimum Nutrition’s straight Tribulus and ZMA before I graduate to those (plus it’s cheaper). Furthermore, I just purchased some new protein - chocolate Optimum Whey and the delicious chocolate Protein Fusion (casein protein)

Supplements Update

Thursday, June 14th, 2007

My supplements are all running out one-by-one, luckily today is got an AMAZING deal on Ultimate Nutrition’s Whey Sensation 81 and ISO Sensation 93 (5 lb tubs of each for $75 flat - even though the deal was for 2 tubs of whey sensation 81, because the ISO costs $79.99 alone, but the lady who made the sale didn’t know what she was doing, so I made out like a bandit). My White Blood finished a little while ago. I was EXTREMELY pleased with the results of that product, I’m glad to see there’s a White FLOOD now, which I’m interested in trying. Shock Therapy looks like it’s finished with one more dose. It too was a great product, the first time I tried it was like nothing I’ve ever experienced, but once my body experienced that 2 or 3 times, I was able to handle it. Storm, which I looove taking postworkout due to its sickly-sweet taste, is nearing the bottom of the barrel. I must say that the Shock Therapy/Storm stack is probably the best bang for the buck I’ve ever seen. I stopped taking my thermogenic ThinRG and my ephedrine, due to the hot weather, because when I took ephedrine, even in the cold days of March, there would be steam coming off of me as id be sweating due to the elevated body temperature associated with ephedrine. But they did work. There is some of the ThinRG left and a whole bottle of ephedrine left, so I guess I’ll save them for when it gets colder again. Since my supplements are all runnign out at the same time, it means it’s time to cycle off of them for a month or so :( I’m going to miss them, but I know its best to cycle them (plus i got no money to get new ones) But I think that I’ll try some new products when I decide to get back on them.

IT’S BEEN A WHILE

Tuesday, February 20th, 2007

WOW I just had the craziest workout ever today. I finally got to try my new Shock Therapy + Storm stack and it was the craziest feeling ever. Before I got hyped from NO-Xplode, but the feeling I got from Shock Therapy doesn’t even compare. At first I felt happy to feel that old feeling I got from other pre-workout supps, but then I realised, this was something different, something better! I felt like King Kong when he faught the T-rex’s and thought my arms felt just as big. Now I understand those PUniversal ads in Muscle & Fitness magazines. I couldn’t stand still, I was sweating before I even started working out, I could see veins on me that I never saw before, and my mind was on a new level to workout. I think that these are now my fovorite supplements, plus they’re cheaper!
In terms of taste, Shock Therapy does taste a little like cough medicine, but Storm is nice, very sweet. Didn’t cause any degestive side effects, or anything else I could think of. It’s an all around good thing.
But the ultimate tests are to come… Leg day tomorrow, which is the deadliest so this will put these supps to the test. Plus, I’m finally gonna go for a new 1RM deadlift on friday, if everything goes according to plan ;) CAN’T WAIT!!!!!

Blog Entry

Saturday, January 20th, 2007

Today I was walking around Bayshore mall and passed by GNC and decided to pop in to look around, as I always do when passing a nutrition store. They had a table outside with samples of a couple of products. I had one of their chewable vitamin C pills, tasted just like any vit. C pill there ever was, I tried a papaya extract pill and loved the taste so I took two more lol. But the product that caught my eye was the Cytomax. I know that cytosport is a brand I trust and love, especially for flavours of their products, but I must say, it tasted bad… Not a product that I would like to have in my repetoire. But it’s all good, it’s just an energy drink like gatorade, so it’s not like it’s a product i’d normally use anyways. I was just surprised to see that cytosport would make a product, not to mention and energy drink, which normally taste good no matter who makes it, would be so disappointing. But that didn’t stop me from taking two more samples when I left the store lol. Anyways, I got a GNC card so I can use it for the occasional time I go there and actually have money to spend there. I looked at the prices there, and BB.com still beets them in the end, gold card or no card.

Daily supplement routine (for now)

Tuesday, January 16th, 2007

Supplements can get expensive, and I wish I could have my trusty stack still. Right now I’m just surviving on the basics, I have the 10 lbs box of Dymatize Whey Elite, and the 1 kg tub of Prolab Glutamine. I’ve been taking 5 g glutamine in the morning w/ my Lipton Green Tea To Go (pretty good considering I hate tea and/or coffee, I like the fake things like Nestea n that kinda stuff) plus my friend bought a tub of Progressive VegeGreens, which he tried once and then gave it to me, cuz it is TERRIBLE. So I take it in the morning with breakfast too (holding my nose and chugging it so I don’t taste it). Then I proceed to eat breakfast. At the end of breakfast, I take a multivitamin, fish oil pill, and glucoseamine.
Later in the day, I have one scoop of Elite before workout with some whole wheat food (bread or begal), then post workout, I have 2 scoops of Elite and some fast carbs (white bread, sometimes with honey).
And that’s about it for my supplement routine for the last couple weeks. I miss my typical stack of supplements, which normally consists of: BSN Nitrix, BSN NO-Xplode Lemon Lime, BSN Cellmass Arctic Berry, Elite and/or a weight gainer sometimes (Cyto Gainer is the best), and my usual vitamins etc… But I’m kinda broke right now, tryin to find a part time job that will fit my busy university schedule, so I can buy another stack of supplements before bulking season is over.
