Starting my BodyBlog

Tuesday, January 16th, 2007

This is the beginning of my BodyBlog, so I’m not sure how these actually go, but I like the idea of being able to make detailed descriptions of my work ethic and so hopefully people can see them and maybe give some feedback.

Basically, I have a 5 day split, usually monday to friday. Yesterday, being a monday, it was time to start the week off with chest and abs, but when I woke up, made breakfast, got ready to go to the gym at school, just to discover that my pops “borrowed” my headphones AND there was a dump of new snow outside. Given these conditions, I simply decided to stay home and do my workout in my basement. I have a sick bench, all the right weights and equipment, but on days like chest, I need a spotter for safety (that’s one of the reasons I don’t always stay home and workout, instead of bussing to school). So basically, I just tuffed it out, worked out on my own, worked pretty well. I just did what I’d normally do on a typical Day 1 (U can see my full workout program on my BodySpace)

Bench press
1 x 15 x 135 lbs
3 x 8 x 225 lbs
Incline DB Press
1 x 10 x 75 lbs
2 x 8 x 75 lbs
DB Flye
3 x 10 x 40 lbs
DB crunches
3 x 10 x 20 lbs
Hip Thrust
3 x 10

Daily supplement routine (for now)

Tuesday, January 16th, 2007

Supplements can get expensive, and I wish I could have my trusty stack still. Right now I’m just surviving on the basics, I have the 10 lbs box of Dymatize Whey Elite, and the 1 kg tub of Prolab Glutamine. I’ve been taking 5 g glutamine in the morning w/ my Lipton Green Tea To Go (pretty good considering I hate tea and/or coffee, I like the fake things like Nestea n that kinda stuff) plus my friend bought a tub of Progressive VegeGreens, which he tried once and then gave it to me, cuz it is TERRIBLE. So I take it in the morning with breakfast too (holding my nose and chugging it so I don’t taste it). Then I proceed to eat breakfast. At the end of breakfast, I take a multivitamin, fish oil pill, and glucoseamine.
Later in the day, I have one scoop of Elite before workout with some whole wheat food (bread or begal), then post workout, I have 2 scoops of Elite and some fast carbs (white bread, sometimes with honey).
And that’s about it for my supplement routine for the last couple weeks. I miss my typical stack of supplements, which normally consists of: BSN Nitrix, BSN NO-Xplode Lemon Lime, BSN Cellmass Arctic Berry, Elite and/or a weight gainer sometimes (Cyto Gainer is the best), and my usual vitamins etc… But I’m kinda broke right now, tryin to find a part time job that will fit my busy university schedule, so I can buy another stack of supplements before bulking season is over.
