Insanity program
I have been doing the P90X program for well over a year now and it’s time for something new. The first couple of time my Wife and I did the 90 day program we saw amazing results. Bodies were ripped. I had abs for the first time since 1994. It was great. Then **** started happening. Illnessess. Injuries. excuse after excuse after excuse.
We would get out of shape and then we would make crappy efforts at doing the P90X. Of course, we didn’t have success like the first couple of times because we were half assing it. I got used to those results from the first timeĀ and I had these expectations that it would be easy to get back there. I was wrong and that lead to frustration. That frustraton lead me to quitting. I’m such a weak ass.
I know my faults which lead to my failures. I’ve also learned that I was sick of doing the P90X program. I didn’t want to stop doing it because it was the only program my wife and I have enjoyed doing together. However, I just couldn’t anymore. So, we needed to find something new and thast when we came accross the Insanity program.
We are almost done with the first week of Insanity (I personally think the title of this program is lame, but whatever) and we love it! It is kicking our asses. Probably the hardest cardio program I’ve ever done. It’s all about cardio and core strength. It’s perfect for the wife and I cause she gets all cardio (she isn’t a big fan of weight lifting) and I can do three seperate days (and hours) of heavy weight lifting.
The nutrition plan is easy to follow and thats great. Since we have the P90X nutrition book and now this one, we have tons of great meals to eat. I’m taking their ActiVit supplement that they offer. plus, I’m doing a caffeine and green tea mix as a fat burner supplement. Within this past week I can already see litlle changes.
I’m really digging this program and this time around I’m not going to have high expectatons of my results. Gonna take this one day at a time. Alright, I’m off to run with the dogs. Thank you so much if you took time out of your life to read about mine. Stay strong.
