P90X: Oh the pain!

workingout.jpg

It hurts to dry my hair because my arms are dead. I don’t want to watch a comedy because laughing just kills my sore abs. Can someone put my socks on for me? Me legs are dead and I ain’t lifting them! My body is one lump of soreness thanks to the daily ass kicking it received……and I love it! I love being sore like this. It’s that good sore. That kind of sore that tells me the weakness is leaving the body. We grinded out the P90X this week. We lifted till the muscles screamed mercy! We pushed the cardio sessions until we almost puked. The sweat continued to pour out long after the sessions were done. We downed our shakes like we hadn’t ate in days. The weight on the scale is declining while our muscles and endurance are increasing. I love it! I live for this!

The diet has been killer. Been following the P90X Nutrition plan to a T. What I love about that plan is it seems like there is so much damn food to eat. The plate is piled high and I usually wonder if I can eat it all. Somehow I do and the best part about it is I NEVER feel miserable when I’m done. My stomach doesn’t balloon out. Plus, the meals tatse good. Bonus!

Two weeks out from adding additional weight sessions into the week. I would like to do chest and calf development twice a week. I will do the P90X programs, but I want to add my own additional workouts in too. Has anyone did this before? Any tips for creating the right workout programs without over training. The P90X chest routine is all push-ups and I want to add weights in. I miss my bench.

Alright, I’m outta here. For those who took time out of their lives to read about mine, thank you so much. Have a great weekend!
