Not Going to Reach My Goal by 4/1/07

I has become clear to me after not gaining any weight at all this week that I will not reach my goal of 180 lbs by 4/1/07.  I am now at 176 and although I may come close, I won’t hit it.  Now at first this really pissed my off.  I mean, I eat my a$$ off and even added a 600 cal. weight gainer this past week.  But I have also been working my a$$ off training longandhard :) with a buddy of mine lately who has really pushed me beyond anything I have ever done on my own.  So while i still believe that goal setting is valuable and I am going to continue to do so, I wonder if instead of obsessing on only weight gain that I sould really be looking at the bigger picture of gaining LBM.  No matter what weight I am at on 4/1/07 I am adding cardio to my work out to reduce BF% as it has gone up a little over the last 3 months and it was always part of my long term plan to do so.  I am not going to go into a calorie reduction mode.  I will see how this strategy works over the next three months. 

I Will Never Be Able To Walk Tomorrow!

Decided to work out this week with a buddy I work with.  Today was legs.  I don’t know why I do this to myself.  He is 17 years younger then me and has been working out for years compared to my measly few months.  I did throw in the towel on the 5th set of squats, but other then that I kept up even if my weights were lower then his.  I will never be able to walk tomorrow I just know it! Thank God tomorrow is arms.  If I can just somehow juat make it down the stairs to the free weight room I think I will be OK. 

Finally Able To Exercise My Back Again!

Man I thought my back would never get better.  But after two weeks I was able to work it out again yesterday.  Naturally I was a little careful and pyramided the weight up set by set so as to be aware if there was still any problems.  So although not my hardest workout by far, after two weeks off I can feel it.  Did some leg work too, but decided that was not time to try any squats - next time.  Worked the crap ouf of my calves and I felt that all night long!  Happy to be back at it!

I Forgot to Change the Freakin Clock!

I set up a time to workout with a friend who is training for a contest - and I forgot to re-set my freaking clock!  I get to the exactly at 7:00 - but they have not set their clocks ahead either!  I was a hour (exacty) late and he even waited 10 mons. for me to show up - that is unactable on my part for sure - what a F-in loser!  Even though that really pissed me off I had a great workout on my own.  I took a tip from Armold and did my Flys before doing presses to really hit the Chest before my arms got to tired.  Still manged to do a little better on the press’s than last time so I guess this worked.  I can honestly say that I thnk my back is really beginning to feel better - up until now I have been possativly thinking that I was getting better, but I actually can feel it now - YES!

Back is still a little F-up’ed!

It has been a week now and I really thought this would go away by now.  I did not do any back work last week other then a little stretching, which I am not  sure if it helped or hurt.  Didn’t do an legs either as that tends to stress my back a little.  I did take advantage of the time off the legs to have a tat finshed that I have been working on for awile so one more week off the legs anyway.  I don’t know.  Maybe I need to see a Chiropactor.  I kinda hate to start that as you know how that can go on and on for years.  Been there, done that.  We’ll see!  Enough bitching for one day.  Time to eat again!

Back To The Gym Today

Back to the gym today after three days off due to a hurt back and it felt great!  Had a nice 1-1/2 massage last night and that really helped relieve the pain and losen things up a bit.  Hit my chest and Tris.  Loaded 25’s instead of 45,s just to make sure I didn’t mess myself up again.  Bicepts tomorrow morning.

I hurt my back - that sucks!

My back was a little sore this morning as I hit it pretty hard yesterday. Maybe too hard. Did legs today and by the time I finished leg presses I knew I was more then just a little sore. Could not do leg curls and didn’t dare even try any squats. I really wanted to get a good leg workout in as I am finally finishing up a tat on my left leg tomorrow so no leg work all next week. What are gonna do? Rest my back, ignore my legs and work on my other body parts I guess
