Back in the ring…

August 8, 2007

This weekend marks my first in-ring pro-wrestling appearance in over a month and 1/2. (NWALEGENDS.COM) I have been dilligently working in the gym to get back to the shape I was in when I last appeared on tv for WCW. Although I am 5 years older (that’s a lifetime in professional wrestling) than I was the last time I appeared on a televised PPV (for WWA), I feel like I am not that far off from my former physique. Well, I am about 30 pounds lighter… Whew, what a difference a second broken neck can make, but I digress. I’ll post a current picture or 12 later this week!

My first BB.COM Blog…

July 26, 2007

For those of you that may not know, I am a professional wrestler (Lodi ring a bell?) and I also own a personal fitness training studio. Why is what I do important? It defines much of who I am, and the intent of my initial blog is to divulge the secrets of what transpired to bring me here, where I am today.

When I was 20 years old, I walked into a gym in my hometown of Asheboro N.C, looking to find a way to a leaner, more muscular body. What I found was a personal trainer by the name of Ricky Ritch.  He would become instrumental in my personal and physical progress over the next several years.

Following Ricky’s guidence, I became immersed in the bodybuiding lifestyle. I graduated from college and immediately opened a personal training business I named Flex Appeal. From there I went on to perform on television for Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling (WCW) for four years. While I still wrestle for the love of the business, my main work now comes from my personal training studio, Your FLEX Appeal, in Charlotte, NC.

My point is this… without bodybuilding, there never would have been a "Lodi." Without bodybuilding, there never would have been a Flex Appeal or a Your FLEX Appeal. Take what you learn in the gym, and apply it to your life. Work hard, give it your all, and be amazed by the results. Remember, if it was easy, everybody would do it.
