Sat.- 34 Days to Wedded Bliss

Okay. I have had a "life happens" weekend so far. Long story short I have been driving a clunker for years and just when I was ready to buy a car, FI proposed and now I am moving overseas. That being said, his mother had a function last night in a nearby city. But not near enough for me to think my clunker will make it there. So I rented a car. The rental car place is closed on the weekend so I had to rent it for 3 days.

So I had no workout Friday because I went to the event immediately after work and got home close to midnight. I did make good eating choices however.

Today, Saturday, I thought "I have this expensive rental all weekend…I better drive it somewhere!" So I called two friends that are an hour away each, and scheduled lunch today with one and Sunday with the other. It will be my last time seeing them before I leave the country.

Soooooooo!!! I am confessing I split a hot brownie and ice cream dessert after my salad at lunch with my pregnant girlfriend. :( There. I said it.  And I am a little disappointed because I totally weighed in at 120lb this morning and then I go and do that. I know it is just one time. But because of my addictive nature (ice cream and caramel are my weakness) and the few weeks I have left to get toned, I am ticked with myself.

See I don’t just have to get into my wedding dress. I am moving to an island. I need to be bathing suit fit too.  And my tummy is still jiggly wiggly.

Anyhoo, that was my self rant. I will do better tomorrow. Here was my (short) workout today- when I got back from my trip and decadent dessert,  the gym was getting about to close:

15 min- rowing machine, 27spm, 138cal

13 min- stairmaster, lev5, 70cal

maintained heart rate between 160-180

Bootie sting workout in the morning.

My left leg was shaking involuntarily on my last couple lunges! So I think I worked to failure. Tried to hop on the standing hyperextension for glute kicks, but my standing leg wouldn’t take my weight. Shaking uncontrollably. Mostly this is because I have not been keeping up with my leg weight routine. Feeling the sting in the booty. Tried my dress on before the workout- definitely was inspiration. I envisioned how I would like to see myself in the dress. It’s a size 4 and fits, but I can always use some definition. 40 days and counting!!!

And I almost didn’t make it last night. But I dragged myself out of the house and rushed into the gym 35 min before closing.

18 min- bike- HIIT 60/102 RPM Intervals 90 cal

Almost Stayed Home

…but I didn’t. Had a small tiff with the fiance and went into a mood. lol. But I dragged myself in there and once I got started it was all good. Wasn’t trying to break PR or anything. Just wanna get my rhthym back.

bike 20min 70-90 rpm 88cal

treadmill 15min hill3/ sp 3.2 (speedwalking) 86cal

lol, forgot to put PROTEIN in my protein shake. so I ended up with just a smoothie. (banana, yogurt, strawberries, juice) oh, well. and had a baked sweet potato with it. passed on the cottage cheese.

Health Re-Up

Okay so this is the first day of the rest of my life. I haven’t been 100% in my regime since about mid Sept I am guessing. I would have to go back to my blogs to be certain. And for the last few weeks I have been on my butt, docs orders.

Today I begin lots of water, detox and supplementation. I need to get the chemicals out of my body from the last two weeks of medicine. And I lost so much weight not having had any appetite.

Tonight I will return to yoga/ pilates and cardio. Gotta get my circulation back again and a little strength. I am thinking bike and stairmaster. This weekend I will get back to weights.

Okay so it was tough being down for an additional 2 1/2 weeks after my own self imposed break. I am really kicking myself for taking for granted that I can just jump back in the game anytime. You never know whats around the corner. In this case it was a horrible foot infection that had traveled to my groin. Well my picc was pulled today and I am getting back in the gym tomorrow.
