The Defluff: Continued Progress

I will have to thank everyone so far who has welcomed me in this week.. it’s an awesome support group.. Once I was officially in I could feel my intensity go up a hair.. I read through some profiles and blogs.. and seemed to relate to a lot of the stories…. everyone is doing great.. I was a little worried being the only guy in on this deal, how would I be received?  I guess pretty good.. :)  I hope!   On my end.. well, as I’ve mentioned before to some.. a group of lean attractive women all watching what one guy is doing.. well, that’s all the motivation I will ever need.. haha…

This is my week 4 (week 1 officially) and I have permagrin today.. I was pretty happy with the 11 pound loss in the first segment (3 weeks), but since I know my body, I knew most of that was water.. especially since my BF% didn’t drop.. no less determined this past week I really focused on everything… had a pretty active week, stayed well hydrated and ate clean (with the exception of one evening out) and I am happy to announce.. I lost 3.5 pounds and .4% BF…I am now just under what I started with back in Jan!!..

I finally got past the sticking point with my diet..  for me that is about 2 weeks, give or take, if I make it past that then I stop craving the bad stuff and only want my egg whites and turkey… that is so great because without that, it is near impossible to maintain a healthy diet… I have been near the same diet as I previously wrote.. (still haven’t run out of grits) I do feel like the only person ever to have grits with my egg whites.. I don’t really like grits.. lol.. it’s a fairly clean carb, higher in the GI but in moderation and at certain times I feel it’s been ok, filling and gets my energy up to start the day.. once I switch to oats, which should be in the next week, I am curious along with a few of you to see how things are effected…

I had a few days of golf tournaments this week so I wasn’t able to hit the weights like I wanted.. I am still full of adrenaline to get started with that.. I know that will take my results even further.. I know how I respond to weights and I look for awesome things from that.. maybe in the next couple of weeks I might take new pics to post.. I should anyway or I will regret not being able to see the progression say a year from now..

I hope to get more caught up this weekend on reading up on everyone.. hopefully there will be some new blogs and new progress.. I really look forward to that.. I had a great week and hope all of you did as well…

Thanks for the support..

Andrew!!!

    You are correct…we’ve got you under a microscope..no pressure…lol.
Yes, I agree about the 2 week deal. I hope I can get myself back quicker because I just returned from vacation and I need to tighten up the diet agin.
This is where the FTF comes in handy. Accountability.

Glad you are part of the FTF team. Let’s have a great week.

Those grits sound interesting…never had them, but I haven’t met a carb I didn’t like.

whoohooo! Progress! Just with eating clean! It’s the small progress that keeps us going. Just imagine what kind of progress you’ll have when you hit the weights hard. Good Job!

Awesome on the decreasing lbs and bf. That’s great! I can relate to the cravings going away after you get the junk out of your system. That’s motivation enough not to fall off the clean eating wagon. Keep it up!

YAY for progress - 3+ pounds AND bf loss is awesome!!! I’m so jealous!! :)

If that ’sticking point’ in your diet comes in a serum, please send some to me as 2 weeks is usually when I cave in to my cravings!! That’s awesome that you’re keeping it clean, and staying so active - have an awesome 5th (2nd) week!! :)

    ugh…what’s grits?

That’s awesome (weight loss). Good for you. You are so right, it is mostly about the clean eating. You will do well, I just know it. For a guy to penetrate the fluffing circle and keep it real, you are awesome! we are glad to have you.

You are such a great addition to the fluff group… so, don’t you worry about that…and the fact that we are giving you extra motivation— all the better!!! AND you are doing awesome on the weight loss and now body fat loss!! you keep it coming!!! thanks andrew for joining, sharing and supporting!!!

Andrew it is great to have you…as well as a fellow golfer! You have made some great progress! I started a week after everyone so I still have two weeks to go. I’m interested to see how you keep progressing so keep us updated! (and on the grits….I simply love them!)
