What up Fam!
Can i take amoment to just let off a little steam for a hot minute? And after my rant, if I’m wrong, let me know. I’m a big boy, I can take it.
But lately at my gym, (Yes the one I’ve been raving about) something has been really bothering me. And the only way I can put it is to be completely blunt:
FELLA’S…..THE MENS LOCKER ROOM IS NOT A NUDIST COLONY!!
I mean is it just me that feels this way? And before anyone calls me a prude please understand that this is not the case. I’ve been to Hedonism, so I know the difference. My issue is with some individuals that parade around the locker room wearing nothing but shower water, simply because they prefer to "air dry". Yes the locker room has available showers, yes you are expected to change out of your sweaty clothes into dry comfortable clothing, however this is not your personal dressing room!!
There is no reason i need to be witness to anything sagging below your knees, body fur, someone clipping their toe nails on the damn bench, or Flavio swinging his precious wet locks all over the place. People please, we ALL have to share the same space, so please be aware of the person next to you, and watch how you choose to stand when you put on your socks. No one should be subjected to a full moon at 2 in the afternoon.
Peace!

What up Fam!!
OK so for all those that were brave enough to take on the challenge over the holiday weekend its time to come clean. Lets hear about what went down, or rather what didn’t go down at the festivities you attended, or held.
For me it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. On friday I thought I was going to be at the Meadowlands fair but instead I ended up at my mom & dad’s house. Usually mom works nights, but she was off this Friday, and to my pleasure she made Jerk Chicken for dinner. I was in 7th Heaven, because not only was it the best tasting, but this time she included breast meat instead of just legs and thighs. So I made it past Friday unscathed. Saturday was a little more difficult. Went to a BBQ at a good friends house, and it was like a buffet from diet hell. I had a few pieces of chicken, ate up most of the salad, and had a cheesburger (Daughter refused to take more than a bite, so I had to finish it….cant waste good meat like that in this economy!!) Later on that evening they broke out a fudge brownie cake, bannana pudding, Pecan Ice Cream, and Pecan Pie….and thats when I decided to take a gang of kids to see the fireworks…..Made it through Saturday.
Now SUnday was a little more difficult becuase thats the day we attended the fair. In attempts to make it through the food stands, I made sure I ate at home before going this way I would be full enough to ignore what was being sold at the stands. But the scent of grilled food is a mutha!! We were there for about three hours, and at that point I gave in. I had a shish-ka-bob in a pita. Hey it could have been worse…..I was eyeing the philly cheese steak marinating in the grease from the italian sausage & peppers which was sitting in the grizzle from about 125 hamburgers…….hmmm, hmmm, good eats…lol
Peace!

Whats up Fam!
Over the last few weeks, I have seriously been reading up on cleansing of the colon. Its not exactly something you’d bring up in conversation on sloppy joe night, but I think its definately something worth talking about. (OK I could have worded that different but wheres the fun in that…lol)
I was watching some program most likely on the heath channel and they were talking about colon cleansing, and the benifits of having it done. Now i’ve heard about some of the benfits that are associated with it, like removal of backed up waste, and toxins. But the thing that really shook me up was when they started talknig about parasites. Para-what??? Then they showed what some of these bastards looked like that could possibly be in the sytem now. I dont have to tell you that my skin started crawling instantly. I understand that a lot of this information is designed to shock you into wanting to buy certain products immediatley, but when I did my research I found a lot of it to be true. These things do exist in the body, specifically the colon.
So my question to all you lovely people is this, have any of you actually gone through a colon cleanse? Do you do it on the regular, and why? I know of the physical benefits, but I am more looking towards the health benefits. Holla at me folks.
Peace!

What up fam!!
Ok so another holiday weekend is upon us. And you all know what that means. The theory of eating clean will once again be challenged. And come Monday, are you going to be the one to start up the blog of how badly you ate this holiday weekend?? Well to comabt that I am issuing out the challenge. That being to remain diligent this weekend. As tempting as it will be I challenge you to stick to your diet. I know we’ve all already accepted the BBQ invitations, and will probably be ass deep in all the holiday festivities. But if we are all as serious as we proclaim to be then why do we faulter on the weekends?
C’mon family. This is on me as well, and my weekend is just going to be lathered with temptation. I will most likely be hitting a fair for the little one tomorrow, I’ve got a BBQ to attend on Saturday, and on Sunday I’ll be BBQ’ing. So I’m putting it out there. All that respond to this blog will be held accountable for their actions this weekend. There will be no "dont worry about it’s" or "The good thing is your back on track" If you take up my challenge then I’ll give you a tongue lashing if you fess up that you fell off. There’s no support like tough love.
So who’s game? I expect the same tough love if I faulter, so this is an equal opportunity challenge. I push you, you push me, 50/50. I’m serious about mine……are you game to follow suit?
Peace!
