Should I quit?

Alright! That’s it! I’m in the damn trenches of a freakin’ damn depression!! Yes, I hit the weights very hard. I go for 4-5 mile runs. I’ve just lost some one I loved very deeply and there was no goodbye, no talk about what’s going on, nothing!! Just woke up one day and she was gone. Four days into this after finding out and I think my body is just giving up. I know it’s mental, but my mind is killing everything. Not eating, sleeping, barely making it to work and then barely doing any, no motivation what-so-ever!!! It’s just about hard as *#&$ to breathe. If it wasn’t for, primarily, my son and the gym, I don’t know what I would do other than sit on a freakin’ corner and sob like a little bitch!!Oh well

Hell no you don’t quit! Piss on that! You have come way to far to throw in the towel. Life throws ya curve balls from time to time, it’s how you react that will make all the difference. Keep your head up bud, and keep hitting the iron. for most of us it’s the only therapy we can afford….Stay strong, stay focused.

Sorry about your loss though…Take care

keep your head up, bro. something similar happened to me just recently. while your situation sounds more serious than mine, eventually you will get back into the routine. at first i stopped lifting but when i came back i felt stronger than ever, mind and body-wise. after this experience i’ve realized how important training is to my well being and will never stop for anything.

When times are hard, try to find the good things to focus your time and energy on. Your son should be your number one focus, I’m sure he is hurting too. And he needs you right now, just as much as you need him.

Your second focus should be on your health. If you’re not healthy you won’t do yourself or your son any good. And part of being healthy is eating right and exercising. Channel all of that negativity into your workout and leave it in the gym.

You and your son will be happier if you do.

    Best wishes to you!

Somewhere in that sky full of clouds is bright warm sun……….. you just have to look hard and find it………. I am sorry that you are going through rough times right now…….. I know what that feels like………..your stomach is nauseated, you actually think you can feel your heart aching……….. nothing seems to make you feel better, and then one day……… you are able to pick yourself up and move on……. things will get better for you….

Don’t quit………. keep pushing yourself….. for you and for your child……

Hope your heart heals quickly….Hugs to you :)

I’m so sorry to hear that you’re going through such a difficult time :( My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Although your motivation is low, I think it would be good for you to continue working out-just to clear your head.

Hey man, it’s alright to be down, we’re only human. Just bounce right back up, after all everthing happens for a reason. Just don’t quit, no matter what. No matter how bad it hurts, adapt and overcome!

Thanks Hernandez. Always gotta break thru the limit and keep pushing until I can’t anymore. That’s been my goal/philosophy for bodybuilding.
