Not the 5X5 but not too bad
After Wednesdays experience with the pain in the upper back, side, rib area I took yesterday off and decided to just see what I could accomplish this morning. I woke up early and could still feel the tightness, almost like a knot, just below my left shoulder blade. I took my time warming up and went through stretching the entire body in as many ways as I could think of. Then I decided I would scrap the usual workout and just see what I could do and decide as I went.
Squat:barX20, 135×15, 225×10,10,10,10, 275×6, 315×5 went all the way down on these, slow and easy, felt the tightness but nothing too bad.
Bench press:135×20, 205×10,9,8,7 (I could feel it again when I pushed the shoulder blades together before benching)
BB row:135×20, 185×10,10,10
BBcurls:15×25, 65×15,15
Overhead bb ext:45×25, 65×15,15
All in all I was happy with the decent workout, kept my rest times to a minimum. Sitting at my desk now the same area is still tight and just slightly sore. I will keep the stretching up this weekend and maybe start the 5×5 all over again on Monday, I’ll just have to see how it goes. Hope you all have a great weekend.

Any workout is generally a win in my book Steve. And YOU are definitely a winner, time after time. Try putting the heating pad on it this weekend & I hope you get plenty of rest. That means no b-ball for you mister.

Have a back cracker or a doc look at it. Rotated rib, I’m telling ya man.
It may have already popped back into place, but your symptoms sound just like when I’ve done it in the past. Before long, the pain will be more pronouced in the chest area. It just keeps hanging around until it fixes itself or someone puts it back.
Still got the lifting in. That’s the Steve I know.

I like the quote at the end too.
I agree with Brad, take it easy and careful. The stretching is a good thing. Be careful and mend well.
