Tuesday - Some Legs, Abs, and Cardio

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

Got in a light Legs, Abs, and Cardio routine today.
More for some Knee rehab really. My eating was better,
but today was my Grand Daughters birthday so I did have
some cake. LOL

Leg Press
more Leg Extensions
30 minutes of light Cardio on the Treadmill.

Monday - Great Chest W/O

Chest
Incline DB Bench Press
Smith-Mach Incline Bench Press
Smith-Mach Slight-Inc=1 Bench Press
Slight-Inc=1 DB Flye
Slight-Inc=1 EZ-Bar Pull Over

Great workout! I hit heavier weights than I’ve been able to
hit in a very long time. I’m going to start alternating cardio
days and Weight Days to see if I can lose some of this FAT!

Saturday - Arms!

Ok, it’s really Bicep and Tricep day since I haven’t
incorporated Forarm work just yet. But it was a terrific
workout.

Arms
EZ-Bar Reverse-Grip Curls
Slight-Inc. (=1) EZ-Bar Tricep Extensions
Standing EZ-Bar Curls
Smith-Mach. LROM Close-Grip Bench
Incline DB Alternating DB Curls
U-Bar Tricep Cable Press Downs

I was able to lift my heaviest since my right arm has been
bothering me which is good. Let’s just hope I don’t pay for
it later!

Friday (TGIF) - Shoulder Work

Two days off so I had to push my workouts out a day.

Shoulders
Seated DB Lateral Raise (Singles)
Seated DB Front Raise (Tandum)
Hammer-Strength Iso-Lat Shoulder Press
Kneeling Smith-Mach. Mil. Press
Smith-Mach. BB Upright Row
Smith-Mach. BB Shrug (Threw this in for fun)

A good workout for sure … Tomorrow … Bi’s and Tri’s. :)

Thursdays Bust …. Snow

Friday, March 27th, 2009

Well, our mini-blizzard hit yesterday (Thursday) and
they closed the gym. So I’ve had to push my workouts a day
and IF they open the gym today I should get in a good
Shoulder workout. I’ll get my exercise shoveling my walks
and driveway as well as my Dad’s. Who passed away
last month.

Wednesday - Rest Day

Rest day today. If I do make it into the gym it’ll be for
a very light LEG workout. Still having stability issues with
the knees. Move the wrong way, pain. I know, I know …

Tuesday - Back & Traps (with Hooks sometimes!)

Nice workout today. Used my Hooks a few times to get some
heavier lifting in. Gotta love the pain!

Back & Traps
Seated Lat Pull Downs
Seated Cable Rows
Smith-Mach. BB Shrug
Smith-Mach. BB Rows
Hammer-Strength Iso-Lat High Rows

I used my Hooks for the Traps and BB Rows. Right arm is still
giving me fits but I’m trying to work through it.

Monday … Chest of Course

TGIF - Arms Day

despite my right bicep, I worked BIs and TRIs today with
not much pain. The pain will come later I’m sure.

Slight-Incline EZ-Bar Overheard Tricep Extensions
Standing EZ-Bar Curls
Close-Grip Bench Press
Standing DB Alternating Hammer Curls

A good, short workout. Need to incorporate forarms in there!

Thursday - Shoulders & Traps

Took yesterday off instead of working legs like I
should have. I did do a little bit walking and running
to exercise the dogs though.

Shoulders & Traps
Smith-Mach. Seated Mil. Press
Seated DB Lateral Raise (Singles)
Seated Alternating DB Front Raise
Smith-Mach Wide-Grip Bent-over High Row (works the rear delts)
Standing BB Shrug

A good workout, my Traps were already weary from the back
workout I did on Tuesday. Must have been the Iso-Lat Low Rows.
But a good workout just the same. Tomorrow is supposed to be
Arms day, so we’ll see how the right Bicep feels. I do need to
work my forarms and grip more, that’s for sure!
