The Life of a deployed Military member.
Everyone always ask whats it like, do you like it, hows the food, and a whole slew of other questions. Well here is the answer. What is it like?…Its hot, sand sucks, if you were unlucky enough to be sent somewhere without your buddys from your home base then you feel like a outsider, people back in the states forget that you exsist. Do I like it?…Hell no..It sucks, while everyone else is spending time with the people they care about, or going to get what kind of food they want, or sleeping in on the weekends. I dont get to talk to my loved one, atleast never long enough, unlike my loved ones back in the states I dont get a weekend. I work 12-18 hrs a day 6 sometime all 7 days a week(depending on the situration) i have to eat horrible food, share a bathroom with about a thousand other people, there is nothing to take my mind off of where im at, i dont get to sleep in, and no matter what time you go to sleep when you work that much its never enough. Some people are mad cause you dont call them enough, some act like you dont exsist, others just find ways to make you furious, your always stressed out, no matter how safe the base you on is there is always the possibility of being attacked at any moment and never comeing home. The people here only pretend to like you because americans spend a lot of money. If youv ever been deployed you know what im talking about, if you havent been deployed then you will never have a clue. im going to stop rambling now before i get mad. lol. god i hate this ****ing place.
