139 and counting…

Friday, February 1st, 2008

Well, today I’ve weighed in at 139.8 lbs… I am so excited because as I am losing weight, I am progressing to a harder, more intense workout than ever before…. Weeks one and two, I did 30-35 mins of cardio… Now, week three is coming up and I will be hitting 40-45 mins cardio. I think that the more cardio I increase, the better my results will be. I know with increased weight loss comes increased intensity, so I’m prepared!

I will keep my caloric intake to my steady 1200-1400 calories. I will also remain on the same dosage of Hydroxycut Hardcore… I don’t plan on increasing my dosage anyway since I’ve gotten results like this in only 2 weeks…. I will so be 120 lbs really soon…

Next week, I want to add a weight training program. I want to find two days a week that I can do a total body workout. I need to start taking shape early before I lose so much weight that I’m "shapeless".

Keep yall posted!

More weight lost…. dropping past 140 lbs….

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

Ok, so I’ve already lost about 7-8 lbs now. I went back up to 147 shortly after stopping taking Hydroxycut Hardcore. I have only taken it a week and 1/2 with a 1200 calorie, high protein, high fiber diet. and I’m at 140.2 as of today. I am only taking one a day, pre-workout in the morning and I feel just fine. I dont think I need any more than this level. I’m just upping my workout routine each week. Week one was 30 mins/day… Week two is now 35 mins day, and it will gradually continue for the next 12 weeks…. Anywho, once I hit 135, I’ll definitely know this is working, since I haven’t been 130 range since middle school.

3 lbs of disgusting fat, gone!

Thursday, November 1st, 2007

Ok, so its been 4 days (since Oct. 29) and I’ve already lost 4 lbs. I started off the week at a disappointing weight of 146.6 lbs so I decided to take Hydroxycut Hardcore the first day. I didn’t like how I felt and realized that I still had 30 days worth of Greet Tea Fat Burner and B-Vitamins. I took those instead. Starting tuesday, I took 1 green tea and 1 Flinstone vitamin pre-workout, ate oatmeal, veggies for lunch, and steamed rice for dinner every day, drinking 4 bottled waters (80 oz) per day. I didn’t realize how much water supressed my hunger! I didn’t really want to eat much just because of the water alone!

I just got back from the gym, and as always, I weigh myself on an empty stomach pre and post workout. Pre-workout, I weighed 143.2; Post-workout, I weighed 142.6. This is awesome for me because I never knew what was keeping my weight so high, although I dont appear to be anywhere near 150 lbs.

Anywho, i’ll be weighing in next monday to see Week 1’s weight loss. TTYL

Hydroxy-what?!?

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

Ok, so i started taking Hydroxycut Harcore… OMG i am so afraid to take another pill. I dont know if its just me, or is it the fact that I’m nervous about what will happen to me if I take it. I viewed like everybody and their grandmother’s Bodyspace to find folks that have taken it before. I hardly hear anything about it, although its #3 Best Product . All I hear everyone talk about is Lipo-6 and Animal Cuts…. I dont hear about HH ever.

Neways, I’m going to Aerobic Dance class…. be back l8tr

Week One

Tuesday, August 28th, 2007

Well, I started the blog for week one a bit late. I started the workout plan last Saturday, so I’ve only 3 days in the making…

I started on 08/25 at a weight of 145.6 lbs @ 5′6", which I feel is an acceptable weight/height range, but I’ve learned that when you’re bodybuilding, BMI doesn’t apply. I weighed in pre and post workout, on an empty stomach every day to track my progress (i.e. # lbs per day to achieve my goal) and I’ve been dropping at least 0.5 lb every 2 days. Today is 08/28 and I currently weigh 143.4 lbs. This may be that "water weight" that we women tend to gain during our menstrual cycle or whatever, but I’ve noticed that it’s shedding fast.

I’m not taking any kind of thermogenic or fat-burning supplement. I do, however, take metabolism boosters like a Super B-100 Vitamin and Super Potency Biotin, of sorts. These have helped my body to metabolize the foods I eat, because you never know when you have to eat something "unhealthy". I just want to have the kind of metabolism that will burn anything…you would think a 19 year old would already have that….

Neways. I’ve logged my stuff on the site. Hopefully I can find a new building workout plan that is, female-friendly per se.

The Alpha Female…

Wednesday, August 22nd, 2007

I spent this summer learning. Learning long after university halls closed and professors left. This summer was learning about me and my body. What I needed to survive. What I needed to achieve every goal. After a good friend of mine decided to go forth with her fitness goals, I decided to move forward with mine:

My friend and I were both competition savvy. We had an understanding that taking care of our bodies made us just as sexy as any makeup job or hairstylist could. We knew that so men compete to be the most masculine and fierce, so women strive to be sexy, deadly, and intimidating, no matter what it took. Those heavenly ideals were twisted by beauty pageants, pageants that promoted beauty, not health, but straight, commericalized, sex-selling beauty. Nevertheless, my friend moved on to win her state pageant, one asking me if I would ever compete. I chose not - why? The thought of being "thin" didn’t drive me enough. "Why does anyone want to be ‘thin’"? I asked myself.

In that, I learned about people. What drove her to become so rail thin? She was the same body shape as I, and now, she’s a toothpick. "I just like to eat healthy," she said to the news reporter. I, knowing the truth about how she ate Special K for 3 months straight to get that thin, just shook my head and felt sorry for my friend. The very same girl that eats 1/2 a banana because she was faint of energy is one of the most beautiful teen competitors I’ve seen in a long time. Of course I can’t wait to see her compete for Miss Teen USA, but it’s sad to know what hell she when through to achieve her fitness goal. Her drive to be "the most beautiful" has gone too far, in my eyes.

With this, I learned some more. Learning about my own body by the fault of a dear friend, I decided to turn my drive to be as sexy as possible into bodybuilding. I wanted to build, build because it was something that "she" would never be able to do anymore. It is equivalent to the Tortoise and the Hare; racing to get to her goal, she did everything to get thin. I, on the other hand, took my time and spent days lifting weights, eating healthy, and taking good care of myself. I built muscle, something I’m sure she could never do, due to a screwed-up metabolism and assured lack-of-energy. I got stronger in her absence, defining and perfecting my every muscle and curve. I prefered my way over hers. This is my idea of beauty that has never changed.

I am the winner, although she has the crown, I won the mental battle, the one that overtook her vision of beauty and turned her into a "starving horse". Her crown is only the cap of a fool, and when her reign is over, mine will begin, so I’ve learned.

Welcome!
