grunting in the gym

so i was watchin a video someone was making fun of earlier because the guy lifting was grunting on every rep. sooooo what?! it iritated me because who cares what other people do in the gym. if it works for them then let them do it, dont make fun. maybe someone in the gym likes to listen to music and bob their head to help getting in the zone, so what, who cares. while all you people are wasting your breathe and time over on the side lines making fun of the sounds people make, they are using everything they got to improve themselves instead of judging your weak a** in the gym, and i bet if you’re doing a lift wrong they would come help you and maybe give you a tip because they remember when they were in your same situation instead of laugh inside about your form being messed up. yes i do make noises in the gym in case you were wondering, and im still gonna come over and try to give you a helping hand if you are doing a lift wrong or could hurt yourself even if the whole time i have been working out, you have been giving me wierd looks.

I don’t grunt, but if others do, it makes no difference to me, BUT, I do, on occasion, give advice when I see someone doing something wrong. It just seems like if they are going to be there, going through the motions, they should get the MOST benefit from the movement.

I’ve often wondered what guys think when you do this. If they think they are doing it right, they may wonder why I am sticking my nose in their business, or they may just think, I’m old, and I don’t know anything — on the other hand, sometime I think, in a few weeks, when they see some improvement, they might thank me.

In general, do you think it’s OK to offer advice when you see something WRONG, even when the guy didn’t ask your opinion?

    Thanks Big Guy!
(If you offered me advice, I’d take it, and be flattered you even noticed I was there.)
