So the past couple days I am taking it slow. I’ve been helping my friends all move, and at all hours of the day and night! Was up super late last night, been kind of busy with that so I’ve only been able to do medium to low intensity cardio for my workouts the past three days. I’m focusing on building my immune system back up, but have been doing light cardio so everything isn’t foreign when I am healthy again. My spirits are still high and positive, I know this stuff happens, and I just have to deal with it. I hate not being able to work out, I miss it. I have another busy moving weekend ahead, then that’s it! Hopefully I can be healthy by the end of the weekend so I can start strong on Sunday or Monday when I have training again. I’m still kicking ass on my NO alcohol and NO fast food, and have had VERY limited cheats, like very seldom. I can’t wait to get better!

Hello again. So yesterday I worked out with my trainer and my ass was kicked the entire time. I only did cardio and core this past weekend so I had fresh muscles to beat. I primarily worked quads, core and shoulders. It was a nice mix up of squats and shoulder presses with a body bar and super-setted. Also did some MAN push ups on an upside down bosu ball, super-setted with some jack-knife crunches. Did some bicep curls, leg lifts.. was a nice combination of exercises. I was definitely sweating within the first 5 minutes. Prior to training, I usually NEVER do this, but I did 20 min. interval elliptical cardio. I know this will deplete the glyogen prior to my muscles depleting it and it’s not good, but I had a lot of time to kill, so I just went at it. I had my heart rate from about 150-155 during the low and up to 170 in the high. Thanks to Disturbed and Korn my cardio kicked @$$. I ALSO did 35 minutes cardio on my lunch here at work yesterday. Today, I will only be able to go once this evening. …but I’ll manage. Have a great day everyone who reads this!

Hey! So tomorrow I start a new training week. I worked out twice on Friday, and Sat. and Sun. did fun cardio each day. OH and the Fit Expo was awesome!! Definitely ready to implement some new things. I plan on doing legs again tomorrow with my trainer. I seriously want to hobble into work on Tuesday. Every day this week I will be doing 40 minutes of cardio on my lunch. I will also be tracking every calorie. I plan on having super clean weeks from here on out.
This includes not drinking - anything! No shots, no mixed drinks, nothing. I think it’s amazing how so many people say they are trying to better themself and they are soo into fitness yet will still go out and get $hit-faced? Even if it’s diet-coke and vodka.. or a light beer, it’s still ALCOHOL. Or when people pay hundreds of dollars for a trainer yet will go out and eat whatever they want? And that takes money too. It’s extremely counterproductive. I see and hear about so many people doing it so much. It’s amazing, it’s driven me to really control my cheats. Cheating usually takes money, and hours of stomach pains, because your stomach has to produce so much acid to break down all that $hit.
Until Feb. 28th, I will be doing my very, very best to plan my life and prepare my food to not include cheat meals or alcohol. I think if I consistently include 300 extra calories to burn per day over 4 - 5 day work weeks, that’s 1.7 pounds I could potentially lose.
This next week I have high spirits for my goals. I figure I’m just going to wait until Feb. 1st to do another progress picture, then do ALL measurements and pictures on Feb. 28th. Swimsuit season is coming up quick! I want to make sure my body kicks @$$ on all the upcoming vacations! I’m sooo pleased with what I’ve done so far. I’m so thankful for my trainers and people who really support me in my journey.
P.S. I’m still super stoked about my iPod and can’t wait to rock on at the gym TWICE tomorrow!

Super stoked I received my new iPod last night! Yesterday was supposed to be an off day but I just became waaaayy too hyped once I loaded the music last night - so I went and busted out 40 minutes of some hardcore interval cardio! I even more realized that I’m going to really, really be strict with my diet and cheat as little as possible. I really want to beat this fat in a couple months, only have like 15-ish pounds left to go, then it’s time to only tone. Well I have to go now, but yay for pink nanos!

Hellllllo! So last night I ended my eating with some tuna and 45 minutes total of interval cardio on 2 different elliptical machines. And I did all of that with no music which was not that bad cause I like to observe people and how they work out. I will be upgrading to a new, pink iPod though tomorrow so I’m pretty stoked about that. I’m also stoked about the Fit Expo coming up - can’t wait to check everyone out and walk around and hopefully meet some people. Good things going on - today I’ll be doing core and more cardio after work. Tomorrow will also be my off day cause I have A LOT going on through out my whole day and night, so I’ll be squeezing in 30 min. of cardio in the morning on account of my cheat meal being tomorrow too! I can’t wait for my new iPod. I’m also going to pick up some more work out clothes this weekend and MAYBE take a new progress pic. I think it’s time, because between now and my end goal is about 5 weeks, so a lot will be changed within that period of time. Good luck today!

Hello! Well today I did not come in hobbling to work, but it’s okay, because for the full thirty minutes I was pouring sweat from everywhere. He had me do tons of plyometric jumps, core/leg exercises, along with modified ball squats with a med. ball.. and we super-setted EVERYTHING which is my favorite cause it really gets you pumped! Since I’ve done shoulders and legs two days in a row, I’m going to break for cardio tonight. OH and so someone stole my ipod from the PT area, not cool. So I have to go pick up another one of those tonight if I can’t find it at the gym. Super pissed but whatever, I don’t care about the money, just the symbolic reason that the ipod and music carry me and keep my spirits high as a kite while I’m pumping. OH and my work bought me and my friend an elliptical, so we are super stoked that we no longer have to drive to main site (where they have a full gym) or LA Fitness on our lunches just for a 30 min. cardio sesh. We also got a treadmill last week. Diet is going great! I had a mini-cheat on Sat. night @ sushi. Sushi is def a cheat meal, all the sodium and carbs, ugh. I don’t do raw fish, or crazy cooked fish, so I got a roll, but didn’t eat all the pieces and drank a ton of water and depleted all other carbs from that day so it would balance out. I also made my lunches last night for the week! Chicken and veggie stir fry, no rice. I’m saving my carbs for the beginning of the day, and a small one at night post-workout to fill the glycogen stores. Hope everyone has a great day.

Hello! Yesterday I woke up pretty early and went to the gym to start the week off with a bang. My shoulders finally weren’t sore anymore, so I did those along with tri’s and chest, emphasis on the shoulders. Began with a 10 min. warm up, followed with a 35 min. medium intensity elliptical session after my 30 min. strength training.
My personal short-short-term goal this week: I’m going to go to the gym on my lunch hour everyday and do 30 minutes of cardio. I like to switch it up between interval running, stepmill, precor and the elliptical. I for sure have to go on my lunch today because tonight I’ll be doing a hardcore legs session with my trainer. I can definitely see my quads taking shape and the fat depleting from my inner thighs.
I plan on continuing to track every calorie this week AND am going to prepare my daily lunches this evening as well for my post workout/daily lunch. I haven’t done this since the last week before my Christmas break so I’ll be doing this again, too.
So this week, I’ll be pushing my workouts to a new level with my new creatine, tracking every calorie and every work out (in general, not by the exercise) online TDP, and cooking all my lunches tonight for the next 4 Days.
Good luck to everyone this week!

I bought new second tub of Vitasport Fuzion today! I also had a great cardio interval session at the crack of dawn! Tomorrow I will do my core, shoulders, triceps and only 1 chest exercise, followed by cardio on the elliptical for 30 minutes. I cannot wait to use my Fuzion, I got a new flavor, grape, so I’m extremely anxious as to how it tastes. My boyfriend has the fruit punch flavor and I’m not so much of a fan of that kind. I am stoked for the new week, definitely had a curve ball last week but I’m optimistic an hoping for the best with some personal things. I’m excited for sushi and a comedy show tonight, have been going to the gym likeĀ crazy person all week so I’m anxious to get out. This Monday will be my first time doing legs with my trainer, I hope the next day I go hobbling into work. I have been tracking every SINGLE CALORIE I have put into my mouth so I’m very proud of myself. This was the key to my success, or part of it last time so for 2009 I am committing to it. Good luck to all this next week! Eat clean and give every rep your all.

Hey! So things are going great! I have been eating super clean! Had my first cheat meal on Wednesday night, went to BJ’s and had a sandwich and wedge fries! I’ve been going to the gym 1-2x a day, once for cardio on my lunch, then again for weights and cardio after work. NOT EVERY DAY, but I’d say 3 out of the 5 days this week for sure! I can totally tell my tummy feels a little "lighter" just from eating well. And between the eating right and cardio I’m hoping I will see some real results in the next couple weeks. I’m going to take a progress pic Feb. 1st, then again when my 10 pound personal challenge is DONE!!! Go me!

Go chargers!! OK, well I am going to go back to logging all my calories and my work outs. It gave me the most success and I think I need to do it again to keep my life fully engulfed and motivated with reaching my new goal. I had a moderate eating over my 2 week vacation, and I also had a B-day this past week, so Tuesday I had a huge ass dinner and dessert feast sponsered by my awesome roommate. Wednesday came though and I am balls to the wall since then, so I’m proud of myself for that. I’m banishing a few things until I meet my goal: alcohol, fast-food and fried food. More important I’m going to just try to keep as clean as I possibly can. I don’t want to schedule cheat meals or cheat days either. I’m going to track all my calories and work outs though for sure. I have a couple stressful things going on this month, but I’m still determined to keep on track. I’ve also added the creatine to my workouts, I really like it, it gives me a great rush before, during and after my workouts, no joke. Anyone have a suggestion for a better creatine? I’m open to new ones. Well happy new year to everyone!
