Awesome balls-to-wall workout today! =]

Tuesday, December 30th, 2008

Oh my goodness I can’t express how much of a great workout I had. I did my back and abs I thought that after not working out for 2 weeks I’d be at least somewhat weaker, but I did weights that I thought I wasn’t able to do yet! Woot!

First off was Lat Pulldowns. My last set was 6 reps, and unbelievably I had the will to beat my 8 rep best which was 180 to 200! I felt invincible loll. Second best was my Dumbbell rows. I hadn’t done those in a while cus I stuck to Barbell rows, but I was able to row 105’s for 6 reps! My personal best was 85’s but I kept going up and up! LIGHTWEIGHT BUDDAYY! =]

Even tho I was still a bit sick, I just said F**k it and went all in. I freakin love these 2 songs I just dL’d into my workout playlist, you guys should definitely do the same. Theyre call "Go Hard" and "Out Here Grindin" both by DJ Khalid featuring many mainstream hip hop artists. Gets me going like crazyyy haha.

ALso my dad finally upgraded his membership to 24 Hour Fit. Super Sport since there is no regular Sport gym here in San Ramon. Everyones too rich here so a regular gym is not good enough loll. BUt yeah I’m glad cus he needed to start working out again for his health… Thank God! =]

I’ll post again when another event like this happens. Thanks for your time and God bless! Keep liftin hard!

Finally, after 2 weeks of no gym…

Monday, December 29th, 2008

I finally hit the gym the day after i came back from my trip to MD! I started a new program, winter mass attack I picked up in Flex magazine. It has 3 phases, first is 4 weeks, second is 6 weeks, and last is 2 weeks total of 12 weeks! Yikes I’m excited and motivated!! I’m gunna train my ass off like crazy ya heard? =P

I was checkin myself out while I was workin out and thank God I don’t think I lost much muscle mass over the 2 weeks I was M.I.A.. Wheww =] I just got a little fatter, but thats okay I can lose it in a couple weeks if I train balls to the wall!

However, todays comeback workout was horrible!!! I think I lost a little strength and I didn’t have endurance… sighh.. I’m a little sick too so I’m guessing that added to my loss of strength from m.i.a. Sore throat. Is it bad if I workout with a sore throat?? It aint too bad.. but oh welllll nothing can stop me and my diet and workout! Unless it gets worse… I pray it doesn’t!! >.<"

But anyways I did chest and shoulders today, and I couldn’t get the freakin 80lb dumbbells up for incline press!!… I barbell press 230 but i can’t dumbbell press 160!! WTF?? why’s it harder to do dumbbell presses?? Can anyone tell me? lol it’s hella frustrating..

I hope I regain my strength and get freakin huge this winter!! Rahh I feel like nothing can stop me!

Why I am a BodyBuilder…

Thursday, December 25th, 2008

Hey everyone, Merry Christmas!! It is officially 2008’s day that Jesus was born!

Well, I would like to post my first blog entry… Nothing really interesting, but just wanted to make one regarding on setting my reason why I bodybuild. People come up to me and ask me, why do you want to be a bodybuilder? What do you want to prove and who do you want to impress? … Well, there’s a few problems with that question, first, I do not want to be a bodybuilder, I am one. Anyone whos anyone who wants to improve themselves physically by weight lifting is a bodybuilder!! Second, I’m not doing this impress anyone but my girl and myself! And I want to prove to everyone, that if you put your mind, body, dedication into it, you can do anything!

So starting on my journey of bodybuilding, I just took it up at first not only to improve my health, but to look good too. However, as I began to grow as a person as I go along more experiences in life, I realize bodybuildings much more than that.. To me, bodybuilding has evolved into a lifestyle. I do this to simply better myself as a person. One "theory" I had come up with was that if you do good physically, you do well mentally, which will lead you to do well emotionally as well as socially, and in the end will help you in the long run to do well spiritually as well! It’s just like the domino effect. And that is definitely what I need, as a Pastor’s kid of a real small Church, sometimes spiritual life can be very dissapointing, but I can bring up other areas of my holistic health in which I can achieve thru bodybuilding!!

Bodybuilding also makes me feel good as a person.. If I look good, I feel good. If I feel good, then I perform good throughout life! Thru bodybuilding I have become more confident in myself as a person in a lot of areas of my life. However, there is a very thin line between confidence as a bodybuilder and being a real prideful and cocky son of a gun with my body, so I gotta watch out. Humility is defeinitely key.

I don’t know what your reason of bodybuilding is, but this is mine! Thru bodybuilding, my life has changed from a lazy, fat, stressed out person, to an optimistic man! Bodybuilding has changed almost every aspect of my life and helps me get thru my daily life. I do much better in school, relationships, stressful hardships, Church, and just daily life! However another thing I do need watch out is that I sometimes tend to concentrate and focus on bodybuilding a bit too much when I should be concentrating on other things like school… =[ But I am proud to say that bodybuilding has changed my life for the better!

If you’ve read this, I don’t know why you would unless you’re real bored lol, but anywho, wanted to post something like this, so here ya go! I’ll post some more stuff, but until then, hope you could also get at least some inspiration out of this blog and the youtube clip! See ya! God Bless!
