Arms!!!

Ok so I have pretty good arm development… but thats been from years of pounding them. When I started training thats all I did. No chest, back, legs, shoulder, JUST arms no tris now that I think about it… I mean I grew up watching Schwarzenegger movies and wanted guns like he had in Conan and Predator… can you blame me? I didn’t play sports as a kid and I’m really not into sports to be honest I’m a big game nerd hahaha. So my training was through a lot of trial and error and Flex mag. But now Ive got a lot of knowledge about lifting and here are a few tips for those that want GUNZ!!

When you do arm training I say start off light… work on your form and learn how to feel the muscle work. Yeah yeah yeah you’ve heard it before but have you actually DONE IT? Pick a weight thats not so heavy but not feather light either.  Pull the weight up when curling and squeeze. When you get to the top squeeze tight… I can do these and get at least 50 to 75% pump off the first set. If I wanted to do a ‘blood bath’ work out..

I’ve made up my own words for terms with lifting. For me a ‘blood bath’ is when I fill the muscles with blood and try to keep them pumped and swollen. A ‘power’ work day is just that… mostly heavy weights and not so much working on form and control to produce the pump but the heavy weight. Then there are the ‘murder’ sets, these are any were from tri-sets to giant-sets and beyond. If you dont know what a giant set is its four exercises in a row with on break (i.e. preacher, hammers, dumbell twists, ez-curls. all of that is one set).

I tend to do murder sets for big muscle groups, legs back chest. Sometimes shoulders but different heads so it doesn’t really count. Anyway getting back to arms learn to feel the muscle working and then see if you can FEEL it with heavy weight. Once you have a connection with your body parts move on to tri-sets.

Supersets are fine but to keep the arm burning tri-sets are where its at. Now Im just training arms to maintain size and bring up my triceps. So bicep work is easier than when I was younger. But I would say find 3 exercises and start off light, feel them then bump em up some in weight and do a few tri sets. Screw all that you need to work different angles and all that. Do a barbell wide exercise for width, a squeezing contraction for height and throw in some arm move you rarely do. Its usually the stuff you don’t do or don’t do correctly thats stopping you from breaking into new inches. I know a lot of this is rambling and incoherent but I hope it helps. maybe Ill try and make a video for arms or something. If I do Ill be sure to let you know in the blog ahead of time. Its been a while

Well its been a while since I wrote a blog. Well I just posted some pics from a few weeks ago. I guess Im kinda half ass starting my diet for the summer. Ive stayed pretty lean this year so it not going to be that hard to drop weight too much. That hiesho problem is still a problem. Im cold and its MAY! True the weather has been strange over here but this is silly. Oh well all my co worker say its because my body fat is pretty low. If I were in the single digit range I might agree but Im not so  I dont think so. But then again I was really over weight for a LONG TIME so maybe my body just needs time to adjust or im dying hahaha Well thanks to those who check this blog and my pics. Hopefully I can find someone to get some good shots of me in the future. We’ll see.
