Hiesho

Thursday, November 29th, 2007

Well since there was a mail about me not posting a new blog I thought Id make one now since there is something bothering me. I live in Japan and here there is something called hiesho. I’m from Chicago and this is all new to me since anyone knows America takes great pride in central heating of buildings and homes. Sad to say the Japanese dont do the same. So many buildings and homes are VERY COLD. Which has brought up a new problem for me. Since the summer I went on my cut up diet and I was really trying to motivate my family to take more of a look at their eating habits and try to watch their weight a little more for health reasons. Well that backfired and my mom got mad at me for looking good and saw it as an attack on her character and blah blah blah long story short she said I needed to eat because I looked ’skinny’ to her. True enough Ive always been one of the heavier boys so most of my life I was teased about being fat. Jump to this summer. I lose like 20 kg which is A LOT of weight over the course of 3 months. 5 kg was muscle and 15 about was fat. 5 Kg of muscle is quite a bit but 15kg of fat kinda out weighed it all in terms of success in my eyes. Which now leads me to my current problem of hiesho. Its really hard to explain what it is since we dont really have it in the states but its basically a problem with blood circulation and constantly cold living conditions and outside temps. I have to wear about 3 layers of clothes at work with a skully just to try to stay warm and im indoor at all times. My co-workers are walking around in tshirts, some in sweaters and such but I look like Im going to shovel snow. This year is the first time Ive experienced such a thing but I guess it goes back to my weight loss. Problems with hiesho are, poor blood circulation, numbness of the hands and feet, cold hands and feet, breathing problems for asthma sufferers, strange heart palpations, anemia and the list goes on…. I have asthma and have experienced pretty much all of what I listed above. Ways to fight this off are by building muscle. I work out pretty hard and when Im training I have no problem with any thing. Hands and feet are fine. But once I cool down if the room is too cold my breathing goes to hell. Luckily for me Im not TOO worried about it and Im pretty sure Ill live and make it through the winter. In January Im going to start a new supplement regiment and really try and pack on some more meat and post new pics. Wish me luck! Thanks to the people who check out my blog.

Gotta Start Somewhere…. Right?

Saturday, November 3rd, 2007

Ok well since Ive been on this site for a few months I thought I might as well start somewhere and write a blog. This is probably one of the first and few blogs Ive ever written. For those that are checking out my page for the first time or those that just want to know who I am and what Im about I guess I should try and introduce myself. Well Im T. I live in Yokohama Japan. Im not in the military never have been. Ive been here for about 6 years and I like my life here. I speak English (obviously) and Im learning Japanese. My spelling is horrid so if I make mistakes forgive me. Im from Chicago Il. and I got into training in Highschool. I actually started just doing curls. Can you tell? Im really not into sports actually Im a big nerd but Im happy with who I am and that works for me. As a kid I was pretty over weight and to some degree I still have a weight problem. Looking at the pictures you may disagree but thats because Ive cleaned up my act and I eat the right foods and try to take care of myself. Seems like something everybody on this site would know but just eating the right foods can really make a huge difference. For a long time Ive wanted to get my muscle up and ate all kinds of food just looking to get my weight up. But now Ive lost 20 kg about 15 of which was fat in the span of somewhere around 3 months or 3 and a half all with out doing cardio. Granted I do walk to work and its about 30 min so I guess you could say I do an hour a day of walking. But thats it. Some people here in JP friends and non friends included think I should get into some competition but to be honest thats never really been my dream. I love training and its just part of my life now. I hope that you too will find joy in training and find what it is inside you that brings you to the results you want.
