Upping the Game

Thursday, May 15th, 2008

Damn, I dropped half a pound.  I know not to rely on the scale too much… but man it’s hard not to sometimes.  I just can’t help myself because it is afterall one of the ways to track your progress.  This means another week or two before I hit my goal bulk weight :( .  My diet is still crap.  It’s so hard to keep up with the diet during the weekends.  Ah well, gotta step things up now!

Tonight, heavy squats & deadlifts!!

Random Thoughts

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

I’ve been using the Animal products now for about a week.  So far I really like them.  It seems to give me a longer pump and a lot more strength/energy during my workouts.  Hopefully I’ll have greater results after another week of use on these supplements.

I’m really excited about my upcoming cut phase.  I hope to see more definate results during my cut.  Although I’m not a fan of cardio, I’m still excited about things to come.

I need to get my bodyfat measured once again before I hit 155 lbs. so I will have a starting point.  And so I finally made the decision to purchase a pair of fat calipers.  I’m hoping they’re accurate.  The trainer at my gym told me that the calipers are usually pretty accurate… within 3% accuracy rate.  But will having my own and measuring on my own be any different?  I hope not, hope I’ll still be able to get somewhat of an accurate measurement.  I’m excited and hoping they’ll arrive before this weekend because I anticipate hitting my goal bulk weight by next week at latest.  For those of you that have calipers or get your fat measured all the time, what do you think about calipers?  Is it better to get it measured?  Or is having your own calipers and doing your own test just the same?

Animal Products

Friday, May 2nd, 2008

Yesterday I decided to try and make a switch to the Universal Animal product line to see if I notice any differences.  I’ve been using MRI NO2 Black and CE2 High-Def for awhile now.  But to be honest, I haven’t noticed tremendous differences.  So since I’ve heard a lot of people rave about the Animal products, I thought I’d give it a go.  I got the Animal Pump and Animal M-Stak.  Hopefully I’ll notice some bigger changes.  I’m excited to start them on Monday.
