King Marmoset’s Bulk = FAIL!
yo
Yo!
YO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today marks the last day of my scheduled weight gain tracker on this here web site. My plan was to grow by 10 lbs. Tis my first official "bulk". It didn’t go so well. King Marmoset will now detail what was learned (this might be common knowledge for everyone, but I’m just saying what I have verified first hand).
Pros: If you decrease your calories burned and greatly increase your calories consumed YOU WILL GAIN WEIGHT!! Of this there can be no doubt. Staying in a constant anabolic scenario will pile on the muscle and its ugly step-sister blubber. Within a few weeks I was up 6 lbs (mostly muscle).
Cons: If you are involved in an activity were speed, agility, and conditioning are your greatest assets then rapid weight gain isn’t for you. In fact, adding the weight and decreasing the cardio is a sure fire way to erode speed, agility, and conditioning. Regardless of how it all came together my game (hockey) completely disintegrated. My conditioning wasn’t were it should be and my extra high-speed gears were gone. I went from being one of the best players on the ice to being a giant, heavy, immobile tool in a flash. Some of my long time teammates actually asked me if I was sick. No, not sick. Just large and plodding. Very disconcerting this was.
In order to recover my game I had to get back to my regularly scheduled cardio. Within a short period of time (I’m talking 5 days) all the weight I had gained was completely stripped off. My game is much better now and I’m very happy about it! I started my bulk at 205 lbs and I’m ending it at 205 lbs. That is a bulk failure right there.
So, it looks like I can’t indulge in the classic body builder bulk and maintain my game. My new plan of action is a slow increase in mass while maintaining my conditioning level. If anyone has any tips or advice I’d love to hear it.

You are involved in way too many activities where speed, agility and conditioning are of top importance!!
"Just large and plodding. Very disconcerting this was."—HAHAHAA!!! I can totally hear you saying that!! haaaaa
You know those estrogen shots you take in your bum? Well, I wasn’t kidding when I said you should cut that out!! Your weight is fluctuating an awful lot lately…..and your mood swings are killing your personal relationships!

Back in times no longer talked or actually even known about, there was a beast known as the KingMarmoseTaguar (KMT), that was surely fire reincarnate…the speed with which this beast would track, hunt, pounce on, kill and then consume its prey was in many ways, disconcerting to its buds, the slower but more accurate three eyed and six legged HockeySloths (HS).
Twas a period of time during this time of long ago that might or might not be known about, that the KMT did decide to take on an additional amount of sustanence, in order to impress the lady KMT’s and for throwing, or slamming, enemy HS’s into walls or to the ice during their organized games of Antelopemeatockey. Unfortunately, the resultant additional pounds of acquired weight did turn out to be the form which left the mighty KMT less agile, less ferocious and seemingly more Hippo-like, plodding along with graciousness and ease.
At the advising of the KMT’s HS buds and after an evening of wallowing and incessant whining, leaving many in the time less spoken about feeling quite uneasy, KMT did make an impromptu decision: "I will lose these burdensome pounds and regain my once mighty prowess."
As it came to pass, and as legend repeats, the KMT did lose said weight in record time. Whether or not his highly sought after and hight touted prowess was ever regained, remains a mystery for all…..

Dumb "I’m from Cali" question, but how long does hockey season last? Maybe you can start the bulking process again in the off-season?

Yes, he could train in the "off season" (assuming no summer league), but getting back into hockey shape after not training in the "off season" is most difficult

Let us not forget the zombie factor. You need all the strength and agility you can muster if we are to defeat the zombie hoards.
