Even though I had today off of work, I made my way to the gym early in order to beat the masses. I love training legs! I actually get excited the night before a leg workout. So, anyway, I turned my ipod up and went for it. I have to be careful since I have a bad knee; however, I do push myself as much as I can without getting hurt. Sometimes I wish I had someone to train with, but mostly I enjoy working out on my own. My ipod has been my best friend at the gym. I can get into my zone and 99% of the time it deters unwanted socialization.
I’m unsure if this is a great workout, but will give it a try for a bit, to see if I notice any changes in my legs. While I love how strong my legs are, I hate the way they look.

Where to begin:Well, as you might have already read, my battle with my weight has been something I’ve dealt with my entire life. I was always the “chunky” kid in school. You know, the last one picked in gym class or the girl that was snickered about as she passed through the halls. While those days are behind me they will certainly never be forgotten. Words can leave quite an impact and my experiences have all turned me into the person I am today.
At my highest point, I weighed 186lbs. I lost that weight by the end of my sophomore year of high school. Going into my freshman year of college, I was ready to start off with a clean slate. No one would know the old me and I was excited about that. Unfortunately, I still didn’t understand how to balance my eating and I wasn’t working out at all. Worried about gaining the freshman 15, all I ended up eating by the end of the year was lettuce with vinegar. It wasn’t that I thought I was fat. I was worried that I would become fat and was trying to prevent it at all costs. Being 90lbs brought on new challenges and whispers. Besides that, shopping for clothes was a problem and the constant discussions from concerned family and friends was draining.
So, my journey has been an interesting one. As of now, I’m at a healthy weight. I still struggle with certain things, but no matter how many times I get knocked down I pick myself up again. My main goal is to finally be comfortable in my own skin and love myself for who I am. I truly hope that one day I’ll be happy when I look in the mirror. A dream goal of mine would be to one day become a fitness model. However, I’d much rather reach my main goal than anything else.
My blog will be about my journey towards reaching my goals and battling those deamons that surface every so often.
