Well, just recieved my test results, which were taken just hours prior to my first dose of MuscleTech’s Cryotest. here they are:

Total Testosterone - 469 ng/dl Normal range for males adult over 17 is 280/800 ng/dl

Free Testosterone - 12.4 pg/ml Normal range males 40-59 is 7.2 to 23

IGF-1 (marker for HGH) - 130ng/ml Normal Range for males 41 to 50 is 94 to 267

Unfortunately I did not have my DHT or estrogens tested, by mistake.
My next tests will be at the completion of my “cycle” on Cryotest.

I am on a low carb diet, and taking protein, Scivation Dialene 4x, and oil supplements.

Intense workouts, short and heavy, low reps, with 500 calorie cardio sessions per day, twice on non-workout days.

I am at 173 lbs right now, down form 185 at the start of my dieting.

I may also add today was a disappointing day.  A bit of friendly smack talk, started by a great friend, turned nasty by same friend, when I gave it back.  I was always friendly with it, but he seems to want to attack and be very insultive.  You see he is a pro, and I am happy to be now able to compete against him in my home town, since I am not promoting the Pro show here.  But his attitude has always been that he is the top dog here in Plattsburgh and nobody is at his level.
I aim, no I am devoted to doing my best at beating him thsi year.  If I bring my best conditioning, I truely believe I can.  A disappointing day to have a friend, who I have done so much for attack me verbally like he did.  But it has lit a fire under my feet, that just yesterday I did not have.

Just cardio today (60 minutes 130avg. HR) and leg extensions with leg curls afterwards.  I hurt my back a few days ago and am unable to lift right now  :(    Hopefully only a few days absence from hardcore training.

Had refeed of carbs yesterday.  3 meals around 120 grams of good carbs.  Back on zero to very low carbs for the rest of the week.  My only carbs are what is in the nuts and peanut butter, along with my salad greens during meal 3 and 4.  Some times I do have a single slice of low carb whole wheat bread with my breakfast eggs.

Taking MuscleTechs CryoTest, and trying an unnamed new fat burner until I get my Dialene 4 from Scivation.  I still honestly believe that Dailene 4 is the best fat burner on the market.  All ingredients have a sound biological value as a fat burning substance.  Plus I dont get all freaked out like on other fat burners.

I am a devoted user of Extend also.  I drink it through out the day, keeping BCAA’s circulating in my bloodstream so as to minimize catabolic effects from hardcore dieting.

Morning weight is 175.4   I bought some MuscleTech Cytotest last night and started that.  You can see my forum post under supplement logs about what I am doing with this product.

Also bought a new pre-contest fat burner, thermogenic.  Taking pictures today and in 21 days to see results of both products.

My weight is starting to drop, and pretty quickly as I suspected.  Scivation’s CHA diet is awesome for me.  I hurt my back yesterday at the gym.  Go figure, not doing heavy deads or squats, no…freaking barbell curls, first set at that.  Always the case!  Just doing some mundane task, and my lower back gives out!!  Sore today, walking kind of gingerly, going to go to gym and do cardio only.  I have snowboarding tomorrow with my two children.  Fist time this year, and at Whiteface Mtn. at that.  I might just go and watch, take pictures and hang out in the lodge this time.

Stongly considering entering the MuscleTech $100,000 challange.  You never know, and boy would the money come in handy.

Just got off work at 7am, grabbing my morning whey prior to breakfast.  Had great leg work out yesterday.  High volume, GH workout.  Calves, glutes mostly sore right now 20 hours later.

I am on the CHA diet again from Scivation.  It works well for me.  No carbs is the only way to go!!  It is very suprising, I dont get those low carb blue’s as I did on a typical low carb, cycled with refeeds.  My only complaint is that it is really hard most days to get a skin stretching pump in the gym.

I am expecting, as it has been my last 3 pre-contest preps, that I will hit a sticking point at 172 lbs.  This weight is where I really start to show leaness, but I have had to in the past change things up.  Funny how it is always at this weight.  It is not a time based plateau, but a specific weight that I get stuck at.  My first prep, I was there for almost 6 weeks before I realized I needed to do something different.  That burned up so much time in a short 16 week prep.  This year I will automatically change my diet and routine at the 1 week period I first hit morning weight at 172.  What I do is reduce workout load, keep low intensity cardio, and boost calories 15% for the week.  This gets my metabolism cranking again, then I cut it back after a week and BAM, weight starts droping like fat off slices of bacon on the griddle!  Boy that would taste great right now,  :)

Well off to the gym, chest and bi’s with cardio.

Started pre-season plan today.  Mapped out my progress, built a training plan, and diet.  I will detail later.  Today’s morning weight was 177.  I wanted to be around 172.  I have some real work to do to catch up to where I wanted to be, but I can do it!  In reality, I only have to lose around 10 lbs to be close to competition weight.  I competed last year at 165 to 170 and did well.  Water was my main issue last year, just couldnt nail that.  Problem area’s will be again frontal abs, and to a lesser extent legs and glutes.  My back, chest and arms are my lean area’s.  My tri’s a bit behind my biceps.  Here we go!!

Here we go again!  :)   another pre-contest prep period.  Our team, "Yeah Buddy Bodybuilding" is really putting together a great traveling team for a USBF show in April.   Might have 15 to 20 competitors with family doing this one.  That is AWESOME!

I am making my pro debut at this show, IF, I am comfortable with how I look.  I made an oath to myself that I will not step on a pro stage unless I am comfortable with thinking I have a chance at placing top 3!  If I dont like what my body looks like, then I will stay amateur until I do.

I am ahead of last years progress at this time, but behind where I wanted to be.  My plans are to stay on diet throughout 2009, and compete all year.  I believe I made some solid gains in muscle, maybe 5 lbs.  So I believe this spring I will be competing at the high 160’s, then in the fall dropping to the low 160’s.  At 5′6", this weight will show very well..hopefully :)
