Weight fluctuations

Blahhh…I really hate weight fluctuations!! One day you will be one weight and the next day you could be 5 punds heavier.  It is so frusterating to me to one day be 121lbs and then 3 days later be 125lbs! It makes me feel like I want to give up because the progress is not evident!! I think I might just throw my scale away!!! lol What do you think??

Punt that scale out the window!!!! No, seriously, that number on the scale is over rated. How do your clothes feel when you put them on? I think that a far better guage of your body composition and weight in general.

Keep your head up… you’re doing amazing!

    Hello Katieliynn,

I am with you! My average weight is about 214 every week. But it is as much as 217 and low as 212. The weird thing is that it doesn’t really coincide with my diet either. I can nearly fast for a day and it goes up. Or completely gorge myself and it goes down!

In any even, I’m happy as long as my median is 214 at the end of the week! You look great, keep up the good work!

I know exactly what you mean.. I’ve been noticing the exact same thing pretty frequently. I agree with slugger/Steve though - go more by how you look and how the clothes fit instead. :D
Are you weighing at the same time of day each time?

At my MEPS physical the weight was 232 pounds. Two weeks later at home, the scale said 226.5, not bad. A few days later on the gym scale I checked in at 234 lbs. What?

Weight is only good up to a point, measurements are a better gauge. Slugger hit the nail on the head.
