Whats Up

March 9, 2009

So, I think I will post progress pics every other Sunday. Even though at this point i feel there is NO progress. I ate GREAT and worked out all week. Mon-Fri. AND THEN Saturday rolled around. I didnt exactly eat 18 Big Macs, but when I have a day where I "cheat" I feel like BAM im back to where I started. Its so hard. I really need to drop this 15-20lbs…and summer is fast approaching. I guess I am just being impatient. Any suggestions for staying motivated and pumped??

Well, two things I also discovered this weekend…A) My mini doxie LOVES to jog. Who knew the inspiration I could feel from my little 8lb dog?? lol. His little legs were going so fast and if I started to slow up he would look back like.."cmon mom."  I loved it. We ran 90% of the way, about 1 mile. He was ready for more after we got home and had a water break. lol. Too bad I cant bring my mini-motivation to the gym!!

Two, I can cook. HA. Since I am being really cautious about what I am eating. I want to make sure I know exactly what is going in my food. I have to obviously cook more. I never had to cook really…My hubby and I have schedules that dont allow us to sit down together for dinner except once a week. (Usually that day we go out!) I cooked on Mon and stored my food until Wed. I really love this idea bc when I am in a rush (usually everyday) I have my food, made ready to go.

I think my husband may be on board for a total life makeover as well. My husband who has competed in shows has this motto on fitness. "All or nothing" Meaning if he cant be in the best shape of his life..He wants nothing to do with it. Well, I think he finally realized…hes not in college living at home, it is what it is. Make the best of this situation. Its not getting any easier! He is only 26 and has had a pretty difficult last few years. He was in Iraq for a year, while over in Iraq a brother who he was very close with, David Barno, passed away. Then he came home to a wife, baby, and career in finance. Not exactly prime situation to adjust back to normal life. He handled it well, but I think he has put on almost  30lbs!!! He is a great husband and father..I want him to have an outlet as well!

Well, Thanks for the support. Keep up all the hardwork!

My New Life…

March 4, 2009

I joined this website in hopes of finding new workouts, meal plans, and looking at everyone else’s amazingly perfect pictures. I know change does not happen over night, and seeing some member’s progress pics helps me realize that! The only thing I underestimated was the support and encouragement I would receive! I mean, WOW, I was definatly taken back. I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who I have met so far! You are all awesome! (And I have only been a member two days.)

About me: I have a 23 year old married mother of a BEAUTIFUL two year old daughter. Unfortunatly, she came with a price!! I was always in good shape, maintaining around 120-130. Jogged everyday, never really lifted, played tennis, just stayed active. I was playing tennis until I was 9 months pregnant!!! I delivered my daughter at around 160. I am now 155. I kept thinking "Oh once she is out, I will lose the weight." What I didnt realize was the CHANGES my body was going through. I could no longer JUST jog, or eat whatever I want. I now had to LOSE weight and not just MAINTAIN it.

I definatly did not take into consideration how hard an infant would be (HA), and working full time. Where do I fit exercise in THAT schedule? Well, I let myself slack for two years. I am finally at a point where I know from here on out, there is no excuses. I have to be better than before. I am 100% committing myself to a healthy routine and amazing progress through hard work.

I was so embarrassed to put up my first pictures ( i have never been the FAT friend lol), but I thought this is what I NEED. I will work harder knowing every two weeks I will have to post new pics…and I dont want to get worse in each new one..

Also, as anyone who personally knows me knows, I am a shopaholic. All i OWN is size 2s and 4s. I had to buy 4 new pairs of 8s. I am NOT buying anymore clothes. I am going to wear my 4s again!!!

PS is there a spellcheck function on here? i cant spell, lol
