Are Good Abs Purely Genetic?

I bet you have a friend that seems toeat nothing but KFC, Domino’s Pizza and Mc Donalds. Yet, when they take thier shirt off they still have that killer six pack you.ve been spending 2 hours a day in the gym trying to obtain.

My question is, are good ab’s genetic or is it possible to achieve six pack success without the help of your DNA? After reading and article here on bodybuilding.com about uncovering the abs (http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/anthonyl2.htm), it seemed like he was suggesting great ab’s are often genitic, he also goes onto say that most of the great ab’s you see in mags and on TV are not in that shape day in and day out, this is only achieved by extreme tapering of the diet.

I dont know if I agree with this though as sprinters, football players and other athletes display great abs all year round (perhaps there is an argument here about elite athletes and genetics - nature vs nuture).

I guess the only thing to do is eat, live, train, sleep like an elite athlete, if you want to look like an elite athlete.

football players are athletes of extreme level! imagine playing like them for 90 minutes and running furiously !
they train so heavy and work so hard in running and their stamina is so great so it balances the effort made in tapering ur diet!
