The roles reversed?
March 8, 2007Are we the whipped sex? Too many men tend to hide their feelings when they’re around women. If you’re upset, then there’s nothing wrong with letting it be known. But by no means do I mean violence–however, a good healthy dose of emotion every now and then, can do you good.
I suspect when men need to suppress their feelings that much, their self esteem could use a boost. Apparently, someone has convinced them into believing they should settle for whatever they can get? Or maybe they just lack a good role model as an example? Whatever the reason, I don’t think it’s an isolated event. From what I’m seeing, well over half of all couples are female guided. I see couples like this every weekend–the women are guiding the man around like trained lap dogs.–it’s sickening really. Are men that alone? Has our intestinal fortutude waned that much? Is it a sign of the times? or have the roles become reversed?
Funny thing, you’d think the older generation would be different, but it seems their percentages are about the same. How did things get like that? Guilt from all those generations of male dominance?
I’m not saying the ladies should be mistreated by any means, but I believe in specific traditional roles between the sexes. There are times when a hierarchy cannot be denied. In that instance, men should act like men!
