OMG

Hey everybody, been a long time! The cable guy stuff has been goin great, already got a promotion and Im finally adapted to workin in the heat all day here in Fl, so i started dabblin with the weights. Must admit that for a few months my beer drinkin and eating habits were gettin mighty sloppy. Gained about 20lbs from eatin crap and drinkin too much beer on the weekends. But a new OSHA policy definitly gave my ass an intervention.  I guess that there have been ladder snapping incidents recently, so now we have to weigh under 300lbs with all our gear and tools on. That sh*t is heavy and im 269 as of today. Got a new elliptical for inside, back on the weights, and starting today my weekend beer funds have been traded in for  protein powder.  Lookin forward to catchin up with you all again!!!

hey everybody!!
.as the title says, im still alive but I am one busy dude. Only been outta the school for about 2 months so life as a cable guy is keepin me busy from 6am til about 7pm.    with the economy like it is i wont complain tho!  Im still new so it takes me a while longer on most jobs to troubleshoot than it does for the vets so my “8hr days” are usually alot longer than that.  As i get experience tho they will shrink in duration.  did a set of ez curls this weekend for the first time in months! it was pretty cool. lookin fwd to liftin after work real soon as i get faster and more efficient. the weight pretty much undulates between 250-257 durin he week. i drink beer on the weekends so thats when its highest, due to the retained water/bloat. aside from the lack of regimented exercise, things are pretty darn good. only gonna get better with each passing day, as i close in on my goal of finishing by 5pm and lifting at 6pm. one cool thing i must admit.. as much walking as i do on this job, and since i usually have to skip lunch, i can pretty much eat whatever i want for breakfast and dinner and still maintain.

./so how is everybody else doing these days?!?!?!?  I think of u often and wonder how things are on your end. usually i crash by 8pm so i dont check bodyspace till my days off . keep your chin up and kick some ass this week! ill holler asap


2009 Resolution

Happy New Year to all of ya! Hope the quest toward your new year resolutions are hgoing well! Got off on the right foot myself. I traded my morning walks for "jogs" and capped off my day with elliptical / bike session. Coupled that with (2) Lipo 6 caps in the morning. I think this new regimine should be a pretty good kick in the ass for my endomorph metabolism, and melt off the holiday beer and junkfood.  Feelin good; Lookin forward to droppin these last 30lbs and seeing 225 on my bathroom scale. Havent seen that since I was a senior in high school. But then again, I havent exercised his much since I was in highschool either.

Lets kick some ass this year!

Great week but damnit I was happy to see 5pm roll around tonite!
Dropped to 251.7 on my last weigh-in; So just as predicted, the AM walks and clean eating is burin the belly again. Im gonna start poundin a gallon of water agin startin monday so that should knock out the water retention I get from the diet mountain dews, pickles, and other salty food. 5lbs down, 21 to go.

For shits and giggles, here was this weeks menu:
5am) 30-40 minute walk
  • 6:15am) 3 whole eggs + 1 packet of quaker weight control oatmeal
  • 12noon) big turkey sandwich - 2 wholewhet bread, 2 fat free cheese, a good amt of turkey slices,  fat free mayo and yellow mustard. 1 Pure Protein bar from walmart
  • 5-6pm) another Pure Protein bar -
workout
  • 7-8pm)steak or chicken / sweet potato, broccoli with 1 pack of chese grits on top. Its pretty damn good i must say, even tho i hate the word “grits”.
  • desert) 1 cup of fat free, sugar free Luke’s icecream.

Got to try out the new sneakers this mornin. Resurrected the 5:30am walks along the beach road this morning. Wakin up an hr early was not fun, but its sweet gettin the cardio outta the way while I’m half asleep; so I don’t spend hrs dreading or bullshitin my way out of it. Did 40 minutes today, Ill add minutes as the days progress, so I dont get shin splints or joint soreness right outta the gate.

Ill start doin pm cardio as well. Probly just 20 minutes on the bike after I lift.

New month, new goal, new dedication

Decided today that I’m gonna drop to 230lbs.Ive gotten waaay too comfortable floatng between 250-260lbs for months and old (bad) habits are starting to re-emerge. So I’m nippin it in the ass .

Tommorow kicks off a new month AND is a Monday. There is no better day to get back on the ball.
I have new shoes on the way so that’ll reinvigorate my cardio efforts. I did 1 walk with my workboots but that is just askin for trouble. And it just feels odd while on the bike. Hopefully they get here by wednsday. Lookin forward to joggin and killin the elliptical again.
Gonna start weighing on sundays and wednsdays to keep me fired up. Im sure this first weighin after Thanksgiving and laziness will be ugly from all the beer, salty food, etc. But its all downhill from there!

still alive

Hey hey! Its been quite a while so I wanted to give a quick update. As of this morning I reinstated cardio as soon as i wake up. Cuz post work cardio was just too easy to talk myself out of. Got a cooler so I bring my (2) lunches now. Basically 2 turkey sandiches with fat free cheese, i eat breakfast at about 6:30, then a sandiwch at 11am and then another at 3pm.  Plain but good, and 2 diet mountain dews. Been guzzlin water as well since I found one of those big orange water jug things like u see on garbage trucks.  Liftin when I get home is goin well too. I found tonite that if i eat dinner, then lift, i feel much better, then just tryin to get by on a protein drink.  School starts monday so Im sure that’ll be interesting. Ive decided aim for a weigh of 230lbs. Im ~250 now so Ive got my work cutout for me; but I just gotta do what has been proven to work. Cardio first thing, natural food, no more weekend beer bashes for a while.
So how are things goin for you all??!?!

so the dentist tells me Im going to feel a prick in my mouth…

Wanted to start off with a snazzy title. Felt like droppin  a line and saying hola to my bodyspace friends here. I haven’t gone awol. Started with Comcast monday, so my body had some serious adjustment issues to go thru with the new schedule. My ass has been firmly planted in my bed 9pm this week, Ive been so wiped out.  Things are good tho; Ill tell ya, bein a cable guy is ALOT more complicated than I thought itd be and WOW, the dickheads and bizzarre people I see every day definitly keeps things interesting! The actual diagnosis part is very scientific, so Im gettin put thru the gammot learning all these formulas, etc etc. Gona really crack down on my food monday. Im stuck riding with people till I go to school in december. The guys like to get together for lunch at restraunts. DOH! Id rather just bring my own, but since Im tryin to go with the flow, meet everybody and blend in -  Im just Im gonna start makin smarter choices when we go out. So how are you all doin?!?

I hopped on the scale today to assess the damage of drinkin like a pirate and eating like a trucker for a month. I only gained like 3 lbs! I had to re-do it twice to make sure it wasnt a mistake.  What an awesome surprise, i was expecting MUCH worse.  As boring as the elliptical is, it was all the cardio counteracted any real damage. Sweet! Gonna go hop on that f*cker right now actually
