maybe that fascial stretching works after all!
ive seen it popular in spurts over the years, theory is that muscle is wrapped in an "elastic" called fascia which limits the growth. u stretch the fasica to allow the muscle to grow. i always thought it was bullshit but Dave Palumbo mentioned it in a podcast on MD.com recently, so i figured id give i a serious try for a couple weeks on my chest - since thats the only part i know how to stretch right now.
chest : i take NO products so i get a good pump after about 2 sets. then after every other set id get in my power rack, like im on a cross. and stretch like a motha****a. till my chest muscles burned. (paying special attention not to hurt my shoulder joints). i did this followed by flexing. stretchin my right pec especially since it is a tad smaller, due to shitty liftin form as a teenager.
anyways! the othernight when i was gettin in the shower i noticed i had a quarter size bruising where the pec, shoulder tie in is - by the armpit basically. i looked closer and in the bruise was actually about 2 brand new stretchmarks. this happened on the side that i have paid special attention to stretching, so im sure its not a coincidence. only took 2 weeks to see these results and im definitly gonna keep up with the fascial stretching now; i gotta find out how to strech all the other parts now
