Focus-such an easy word to say but so hard to do! I have been working hard this week w/my posing techniques. I never knew what a skill it is to get all the proper moves down…this is going to be so much more difficult than any squat or chest press I’ve ever done-LOL!
I’m so glad to have this website for support. I only have a few friends who understand the reason to compete. Most of my friends/clients/even family members are worried I’m trying to get too thin or look like Arnold. They have don’t have a clue about a figure competition or what the purpose is to participate in one.
This is personal. I’m 40 years old & I am in the best shape of my life-even after 2 kids. I don’t want to be 50 years old wondering…"Woulda…Coulda…Shoulda&
quot;. So, I’m going for it & I plan to think like a winner!
Have a great week!

I would presume that winners rarely ever presume they will get second. Live without regret today.

Kathy,
Life is for living. Winning is a state of mind. Enjoy yourself and go for what your heart desires. If you do your best, you are a winner and not everyone will understand, but no one can take away your experience either. Best wishes in competing.

You should invite family and friends to a show with you so they can watch and see what it’s all about. They may not change their minds about it and chose to keep their misconceptions, but if they’re willing to go my guess is that they’ll come around.

Definitely encourge them to come see your show. Maybe their eyes will open up and see this sport for what it really is.
And don’t forget, even if they don’t come around, you do have this awesome website full of people to support you!
Do Great in your Show!
