I’m still going…I wish I had good progress pics to put up, but I don’t!!! It’s a bit frustrating. I’m doing a 10 week challenge through BuffMother! website. If you’re a woman and you’re a BuffMother! fan (check out her bodyspace) then you should join up on her website. It’s great! So I’m doing a 10 week challenge there and I won’t take progress pics until the end so I’ll post some then. Until then I’m still doing my 5am workouts and doing the Precision Nutrition eating plan. I’m really working to add in extra cardio and being consistent with my workouts. Some days it requires me to go to the gym twice, but I’m really trying to be hardcore like some of the great women on this sight! MsFitness, BuffMother, Wrknout4life, and many others! Those women inspire me!
Later,

It’s been a little bit since I’ve posted. I’m still doing my thing. Waking up early, working out. My eating has improved and I’m doing a 10 week challenge with another board I belong too. It just started. One of these days I gotta put up another progress pic. I just feel like I don’t have much to show lately! That’s it for now. Tomorrow 5am HIIT.

As painful as it is to get up at the butt crack of dawn I’ve been doing it for almost four weeks now! I can’t believe it. This is the first time I’ve actually stuck with AM workouts! Yeah me! It really feels good to be done with a workout by 6am and I can forget about it. Plus, I feel like I’m really seeing some positive changes. The scale hasn’t moved much, but I don’t care. I know I’m losing inches. I’m on week four of Afterburn, Alwyn Cosgroves program. I really like it and after this week it’s about to get harder! I have definitely NOT been perfect—I’ve missed workouts and had a few extra "cheat" meals than the program requires, but everyday I start over and with a clean slate and I try HARDER.
I just ordered Precision Nutrition by John Berardi and I’m eagar to read through all the material! It’s a bunch of great stuff and I can’t wait until the UPS guy gets here. I also just joined BuffMothers website and I’m so encouraged by all the great women I’ve already met! Plus, she has some great women only books that I also just ordered! Luckily, I handle the finances at our house because recently I’ve spent way too much money on fitness related items! I told myself after this recent ordering……I’m DONE! I have the tools I need to succeed……..myself!
Yesterday’s workout accomplished—weights at 530am. Today’s workout still to come. My daughter had me up a few times last night and I couldn’t drag myself out of bed to the gym. I’ll wait for hubby to get home and then I’ll make it a late night at the gym for HIIT.
Thanks for reading & until next time.

It’s been awhile since my last blog post. Not much has changed. It’s still business as usual for me. I’m on week 3 of Alwyn Cosgrove’s Afterburn fat loss program. It’s going really well. I’m still trying to master it, but I remind myself that it’s all part of the journey. If I do it perfect everyday what would I have to learn? I need to put up some progress stats and pictures soon. Hopefully I’ll remember to do that this weekend.
Speaking of the weekend, we’ve got a low key one ahead, which is good because we’ve been busy lately. Today, I did my usual 5am workout, which it’s painful to wake up when that alarm goes off, but I’m so glad to get the workouts done for the day. Plus, I’ve been being a good wife and making dinner every night! I have the time because I’m not preoccupied with, "when can I get to the gym?!" Although my husband likes to cook I think he also enjoys having dinner ready when he gets home. It must be the male pig in him! Ha! I’m so not that wife that has dinner on the table and a sparkly clean house everyday. I’m the one who is in her sweats most of the time and waits until the weekend to clean the house so her husband can help her. I remind him how hard it is to take care of a baby all day, everday, even though he already knows this. He’s a great guy and I’m glad he’s mine because all he wants for me is to be myself and sometimes that can be one cranky lady!

Well, I took a week off from the gym and from planning, preparing, journaling my food and workouts last week. It was good for the soul and for the mind to rest a bit and take it easy. I even still ended up losing weight at my WW weigh in. Today, I started a new workout program. It’s called Afterburn by Alwyn Cosgrove. I’m really excited about it. I was in the gym by 515am this morning doing my strength training. It felt great to get it done and morning workouts really start the day off right. I def want to keep it up! I’m not a morning person so my hubby got up with me to keep me accountable. I think this early rising thing is going to work out great! I like that once my husband gets home in the evening we can all enjoy dinner together rather than me rushing off to the gym!
So back to Afterburn. It’s a 16 week fat loss program complete with cardio, strength and nutrition. I’ve read through the manual and I’m excited to begin. I’m going to post weekly pics and measurements for all to see or all who care!!
Thanks for reading & until next time!

So it’s been a few days since my last blog entry. Things are good. I took Wednesday off from the gym and was back at it on Thursday. Friday night my hubby and I met friends out for drinks and I allowed myself a cheat meal. I wasn’t really sure if I was going to do the "have a cheat meal once a week" thing and I was pretty sure I wasn’t going to drink either, but the night called for it and I’ve been on track. So I had a margarita, two mozerella sticks and two quesadilla wedges and then finished that splurge off with some chocolate cake. Yes, some may gasp at that "cheat", some may shake their heads in horror, but I’m okay with it. What’s life without having a little taste of the good stuff once in awhile. In the past, I would have thrown my goals out the window, ordered a cheesburger and fries, kept the drinks flowing and indulged in dessert, but this time I kept aware of what I was putting in my mouth and kept the portions moderate. The next day I got right back on track with my eating. Today, I’m doing a workout at home with resistance bands and alot of squats and lunges. It gets my heart rate up and changes things up from my gym routine.
Yesterday I enjoyed a nice day at the spa! Don’t I sound prissy? Or that I have money to spare on spa services?! I wish!!! Actually I cashed in on a Christmas gift certificate. I went with my mom so it was double the fun. I got an hour long massage, a haircut and an eyebrow wax. I’m feeling so much happier today and looking good too! I was in desperate need of a haircut. My hair was starting to look rough and I think it screamed, "I have forgotten about me and given up my life for my child!" I love my daughter and I love being a stay at home mom, but I refuse to forget about me. I’m definetly a better wife and mother when I eat right, excercise and take care of my physical appearence (ie., hair, waxing, etc). I remind myself that when I want to stray off the diet or skip a workout session.
I’m off to take my daughter to the mall so my hubby can get some work done sans distractions. Then it’s back home for my workout.
Thanks for reading & until next time!

I went to my Weight Watchers meeting last night. I really dreaded getting on the scale. It’s not that I did terrible this past week, but we celebrated my husbands birthday and I had a piece of carrot cake, then I went out to lunch the next day with my dad and had half a piece of chocolate cake. So I indulged more then I should have. On the positive side, I did indulge on the desserts, but I watched my portion control with everything else. Take the good with the bad! When I stepped on the scale I was actually down another LB. I was surprised, but then thought, "hmmm…how much could I have lost if I hadn’t indulged!"
This week I’m keeping on track, clean eats and great workouts. After my WW meeting, I headed to the gym. That was a good feeling! I could’ve easily gone home. I hadn’t seen much of my husband and it was freakin’ freezin’ here in the mighty tundra, but I just kept that car moving and landed in the gym parking lot. I did legs, back, biceps and calves and 20 minutes of HIIT. Got my sweat on and headed home to dinner with my main man. I of course had to watch the Biggest Loser too!
I’m carb cycling starting today. I’m following the Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle advice and starting off with a 3:1 ratio. Three days low, one day high. I’m eagar to see how it affects the scale.
Just cardio at the gym for me tonight, just a quick HIIT workout. Then home to my hubby and one year old!

I made it to the gym yesterday. I don’t know about you all, but I love getting into the gym on a Monday. It really sets the tone for the rest of the week and makes me want to get things done and stay on track. My hubby was working late so, being a stay at home mom, I had to wait for him to get home (no daycare at my gym). I didn’t leave for the gym until 8pm, which for me is late. So after spending time with my one year old all day; playing, feeding, putting down for naps. I got myself ready, made my husband some dinner and headed out the door. He goes to bed early and I was afraid that by the time I got back from the gym he’d be snorin’! That would have been a reason for me to stay home, just to spend some time with him, but not last night. I said to him, "Honey, I got goals. I’m going to the gym". I know the types of excuses I make for not going to the gym and I’m tired of making them. Now, in my defense, ever since I had my daughter I’ve been working out and eating right, however, it’s not consistent enough to see the changes I’m looking for. So GAME ON I say! There is so much inspiration on BB.com that all I have to do is click here and there and I’m motivated. Thanks to all of you who don’t know that you inspire me!
So Monday is come and gone, I worked chest, shoulders, tri’s and abs yesterday. I only got in about 20 min of SS cardio, but I did my weights circuit style, with no rest between sets and I lifted heavy. So for that 40 mintues of lifting my heart rate was up. Tonight I’ve got my WW meeting, and then back to the gym.
Thanks for reading! Until next time!

So this is my first official post. I’m not sure how consistent I’ll be in my writing, but I have high hopes for myself!
So I’m headed back to the gym tonight. I had a few weeks where I only made it once or twice and that’s not what I want. Even my gym owner made a comment to me, "Where ya been girl!" It’s always nice to know your missed and it makes me want to get back into the swing of things. I love walking into that weight room and knowing my way around like a pro. So I’m only throwing around 20 to 25lbs…..you still betta watch yourself! I’m looking forward to getting back into my routine. It will be upper body and HIIT today.
A few new things I’m doing is tracking my calories in fitday.com and I recently joined Weight Watchers. I’m doing their Core Plan, which is basically clean eating. No sugar, processed foods or alcohol. Just whole grains, fruit, veggies, FF dairy, etc. So far so good. My first week I lost 2.5lbs. This week I’m not feeling too confident. I indulged more then I should have and my workouts weren’t on. I weigh in tomorrow evening so the scale will tell me what’s up. Live and learn and keep on truckin’!
Thanks for reading! Until next time!
