My right arm is twitching!

….it’s been having muscle twitching and spasms for the past two months and it’s driving me insane!!!!! At first, I thought it was just the nerves being compressed from the added muscle growth - but now I’m not so sure. It’s freaking me out…and lately, it’s been waking me up at night.

I mean, ok…once in a while for 5-15 minutes at a time: no problem. But this is CONSTANTLY, ALL DAY LONG, ALL NIGHT…it’s driving me absolutely batty!!! I did some reading on the net from medical sites…ranging from benign facilation (sp?) to ALS (Lou Gherigs Disease….not cool). But since I’m not showing any other symptoms of ALS, I began to look elsewhere, which yielded: caffeine, excessive exercise, stress, a diet deficiency.

Ok, that might be…I’ve been hitting the redbulls quite a bit lately, been under moderate stress, and just recently stopped taking any NO products (that typically have large doses of caffeine.

Anyone else have excessive muscle twitching? Mine is in my right arm between the triceps/biceps.

It might be a good idea to go see a doctor and get a referal to a specialist. Hopefully, it’s just that it’s caffeine or excessive muscle use but it can be something more serious. If so, early treatment could mean quicker recovery and if it’s something serious, it can be cured quicker with less headaches and pain. Trying to diagnose something yourself is not recommended unless you have a medical background/education. Good luck and hope for your speedy recovery.

Forgot to add that I twitch and bounce a lot but it’s due from a hyper activity disorder. Caffeine and energy boosters make it worse for me when I’m at rest. So I don’t take anything like that unless I really need it to workout. I’m also careful about the dosing as too many people go with the maximum recomended dosage right away. Doing that builds imunity too quick and kills the lifespan (how quickly your body adapts) of that product. Also makes your products last longer as supplements are expensive to begin with.

I’ve had twitches that last a day or two, but never for a long period of time. I would get it checked out by a doctor.

Ironic…I was looking for a remedy for muscle twitching when I found your post…my right arm as well.I just overworked yesterday and it’s fine today…BUT I have experienced long term( a year or more)random twitching..It was random and weird.Sometimes upper leg, then face, arm, hand…the weirdest, though was in the upper back…sort of thump, thump, thump, like someone trying to get your attention but knowing no one was around.Funny. Anyway, I suspect(not sure) that mine was because of stress/anxiety/poor quality sleep/fatigue…the twitching seemed to stop after my sleep improved (CPAP for sleep apnea and antidepressant meds for the other stuff, which also helped my sleep) I completely understand the frustration of trying to figure it out. It’s like there is too many things it could be…Anyway, just my 2 cents. I wish you the best of luck finding a solution for yours.
